Job description
Based in Al-Khobar, Eastern Region, Saudi Arabia, the Senior Tender Specialist reports to the Service Sales Manager and strengthens ABB Motionâs energy-efficient service portfolio for motors, generators and drives across Saudi Arabia. The role drives the service sales process in collaboration with the Service Sales Manager, focusing on Installed Base (IB) penetration and selling the entire Service product portfolio in coordination with other ABB service units, while building long-term customer relationships and ensuring immediate response to specific customer needs and issues. Responsibilities include offering technical advice and solutions on inquiries from customers, channels and Sales Specialists about ABB products, systems and applications, and performing analytic and diagnostic studies to determine optimal technical solutions. The specialist develops technically competitive solutions for motor and generator base services with modernization offerings by analyzing ABBâs motor and generator installed base in Saudi Arabia to propose maintenance programs; develops and maintains new sales opportunities; resolves specific customer problems; and ensures achievement of targets on orders, Net Price Variance (NPV) and Net Promoter Score (NPS). The position ensures achievement of budget goals (volume and profitable growth) across assigned product groups and countries, tracks pipeline for motor service business and drives innovative ways to improve hit rate and solution offerings, visits customers and collaborates with sales for solution sales related to motor services, and positions winning solutions with a complete understanding of the Saudi market. The role oversees and assists in the collection of insurer premium revenues from Insurers in line with service requirements, effectively oversees the teamâs renewal allocation, and represents ABB MENA at seminars, workshops and conferences (e.g., AIRMIC, FERMA, RIMS, and at ABB UK/USA). Qualifications include over 10 years in the motor service field with enhanced knowledge of motor sizing, motor field service and motor maintenance; passion for sales, technical solutions, energy efficiency and decarbonization; bachelorâs degree in engineering; knowledge of Motsize, vibration solutions, motor internal parts, motor preventive maintenance, motor design, motor engineering and motor applications; expertise in Salesforce CRM and Microsoft Office; experience delivering technical presentations at sites related to motors; English fluency (Arabic a plus); and holding a valid Saudi work permit. ABB Motionâs portfolio spans motors, generators and drives for industrial sectors, delivering increased energy efficiency, safety and reliability with precise process control.

- Establish and maintain strong relationships with insurers and clients in support of Lockton Insurer Strategic Partners, Account Executives and Brokers (as applicable to premium collection service requirements referenced), and oversee collection of insurer premium revenues and compliance with service requirements.
- Effectively oversee the teamâs renewal allocation and ensure timely follow-up.
- Represent ABB MENA and speak at seminars, workshops and conferences such as AIRMIC, FERMA, RIMS, and at ABB UK/USA events.
Experience & skills
- Minimum 10 yearsâ experience in the motor service field with enhanced knowledge of motor sizing, motor field service and motor maintenance.
- Bachelorâs degree in Engineering with a demonstrated track record and extensive knowledge of motor services and workshop services for motors.
- Engagement with Motion service tools and the growing Saudi market, with deep understanding of Saudi Arabia market dynamics.
- Knowledge of Motsize, vibration solutions, motor internal parts, motor preventive maintenance, motor design, motor engineering and motor applications.
- Expertise in Salesforce CRM tools and Microsoft Office, with experience delivering technical presentations at motor-related sites.
- Passion for sales, technical solutions, energy efficiency and decarbonization.
- English fluency (Arabic is a plus) and valid Saudi Arabia work permit.
- Ability to formulate winning solutions for motor services, manage renewal allocation, track sales pipeline, and achieve orders, NPV and NPS targets.
