Job description
The Cluster Manager role is based in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates and is responsible for leading and managing the Priority Gold Center team to capture new business opportunities and deepen existing customer relationships within the priority banking segment. The role focuses on expanding deposit, finance, and investment portfolio sizes while ensuring high-quality service delivery across the assigned cluster. The position drives new-to-bank customer acquisition through outbound marketing activities, gold center contacts, and existing professional networks, converts inbound and outbound leads into sales, and identifies potential expansion locations. The Cluster Manager oversees sales productivity and cross-selling performance, manages relationship managers, monitors sales plans and performance scorecards, allocates human resources, and plans staff development initiatives. The role ensures effective cooperation across banking channels, implements Priority Banking services across surrounding branches, and maintains strong customer retention through service level monitoring, complaint resolution, account closures handling, and customer inquiries. The position includes approval and recommendation of credit applications, adherence to banking processes and documentation standards, identification of operational error trends, and proactive process improvement recommendations. The role requires detailed knowledge of ADIBās Retail Banking products and services, retail credit and operational policies, UAE banking regulations and risks, competitor landscape awareness, service standards, management information, and computer-based banking systems.

Key responsibilities
- Generate new business through outbound marketing activities, gold center contacts, and existing professional networks
- Acquire new-to-bank priority and retail HNI customers and convert inbound and outbound leads into sales
- Expand deposit, finance, and investment portfolio sizes through relationship deepening and cross-selling
- Build and maintain strong trust-based relationships with key customers and referral alliances
- Identify potential expansion locations for priority banking coverage
- Manage Priority Cluster team members and oversee relationship managersā performance
- Set, monitor, and review sales plans, targets, and performance scorecards for relationship managers
- Coach, counsel, and appraise staff to improve sales productivity and expected behaviors
- Allocate human resources effectively and plan staff development and training needs
- Coordinate referrals to other banking channels based on identified customer needs
- Implement Priority Banking services across surrounding branches smoothly and consistently
- Monitor service delivery levels to ensure customer satisfaction and retention
- Handle customer complaints, account closures, and inquiries with personal involvement
- Collect ad-hoc customer feedback to improve service quality
- Approve or recommend credit applications in line with retail credit policies
- Ensure adherence to banking processes, procedures, and documentation standards
- Identify error trends and proactively recommend process improvements to mitigate risk
Experience & skills
- Demonstrate detailed knowledge of ADIBās Retail Banking products and services
- Possess experience in sales, product development, or wealth advisory for priority banking customers or retail HNIs
- Show broad knowledge of ADIBās Retail Credit and Operational Policies and Procedures
- Demonstrate specific knowledge of UAE banking practices, regulations, and risks
- Exhibit awareness of competitor offerings in the local banking market
- Have prior experience leading a team of banking or financial services professionals
- Demonstrate knowledge of service standards applicable to priority banking
- Possess training and presentation skills relevant to team management
- Demonstrate management information skills
- Demonstrate proficiency in computer-based banking and office systems
