Job description
IT Sourcing & Procurement Assistant Manager role within a leading bank in Dubai as part of a centralised sourcing transformation team responsible for driving digital procurement, supplier optimisation, and technology-enabled sourcing processes across the business. The position involves managing end-to-end tactical sourcing activities, supporting digital procurement systems, and ensuring efficient execution of RFx processes including RFIs, RFPs, RFQs, and e-auctions. The role includes supplier evaluation, supplier selection, contract lifecycle management, and collaboration with IT, finance, legal, and business stakeholders to ensure compliant contract execution and governance. Responsibilities include developing sourcing strategies, supporting rapid tendering and contracting processes aligned with procurement policies and governance standards, analysing supplier pricing, market trends, and category data to identify cost optimisation opportunities, and maintaining sourcing dashboards and reporting tools to track project progress, savings, and supplier performance metrics. The role also requires supporting contract lifecycle management by ensuring contracts are stored, tracked, renewed, and accessible through contract management systems. The position includes driving process improvements by identifying bottlenecks in sourcing workflows, recommending automation or system enhancements, collaborating with vendors and internal teams to resolve sourcing-related issues, ensuring documentation accuracy, audit readiness, and compliance across sourcing activities. The role requires experience with ERP systems, e-sourcing tools, and digital procurement platforms, strong analytical skills for managing sourcing data and supplier evaluations, and experience in procurement lifecycle management, procurement transformation initiatives, and category management within a fast-paced environment.

Key responsibilities
- Manage end-to-end tactical sourcing processes including RFIs, RFPs, RFQs, e-auctions, and supplier selection activities using digital procurement platforms while ensuring adherence to procurement policies and governance standards
- Develop sourcing strategies and support rapid tendering and contracting processes while collaborating with IT, finance, legal, and business stakeholders to ensure compliant execution
- Analyse supplier pricing, market trends, and category data to identify cost optimisation opportunities, supplier optimisation strategies, and digital procurement enhancements
- Maintain sourcing dashboards and procurement reporting tools to track project progress, savings, supplier performance metrics, and sourcing pipeline activities
- Support contract lifecycle management including contract storage, tracking, renewal management, and accessibility via contract management systems
- Drive process improvements by identifying bottlenecks in sourcing workflows and recommending automation initiatives or system enhancements within digital procurement platforms
- Collaborate with vendors and internal teams to resolve procurement and sourcing-related issues while ensuring efficient execution of sourcing activities
- Ensure accurate documentation, audit readiness, compliance, and governance across all sourcing activities and procurement lifecycle processes
Experience & skills
- Possess 3–5 years of experience in sourcing, procurement, category management, or procurement operations roles within technology or IT sourcing environments
- Demonstrate experience working with ERP systems, e-sourcing tools, and digital procurement platforms supporting sourcing and procurement lifecycle management
- Maintain strong analytical capability to manage complex sourcing data, supplier evaluations, and category analysis for cost optimisation initiatives
- Exhibit understanding of contract management and procurement lifecycle processes including RFx processes, supplier selection, and contract lifecycle management
- Demonstrate ability to manage multiple sourcing projects simultaneously within a fast-paced sourcing transformation environment
- Show experience in process improvement initiatives or procurement transformation programs including automation and digital procurement enhancements
- Hold Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain, IT, Engineering, or related field with CIPS certification preferred but not mandatory
- Demonstrate ability to collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders including IT, finance, legal, vendors, and business stakeholders while ensuring procurement compliance
