Job description
The Payroll Accountant at MOZN is responsible for managing end-to-end payroll operations in compliance with Saudi labor laws and financial reporting standards. The role includes processing monthly payroll, ensuring accurate salary disbursements, managing GOSI contributions, calculating EOSB, and maintaining employee financial records. The accountant reconciles payroll accounts with the General Ledger, prepares detailed payroll reports, and ensures adherence to SOCPA and IFRS standards. The position also involves accruing for employee benefits such as vacation balances and tickets, coordinating with Finance on budgetary controls and cost center allocations, handling payroll bank agreements, and ensuring timely salary disbursements. Maintaining payroll confidentiality, resolving discrepancies, and providing timely responses to employee queries are essential. The role demands high accuracy, attention to detail, analytical problem-solving, and the ability to work under pressure in a dynamic, high-growth AI enterprise environment.

- Process monthly payroll according to company policies, Saudi labor laws, and regulatory requirements ensuring accuracy and compliance
- Maintain and reconcile payroll accounts with the General Ledger to ensure accurate financial records
- Prepare and deliver payroll reports in compliance with SOCPA and IFRS standards for management and regulatory purposes
- Manage GOSI contributions, calculate EOSB entitlements, and maintain comprehensive employee financial records
- Accrue employee benefits including vacation balances, tickets, and other entitlements accurately and timely
- Coordinate with Finance on budgetary controls, headcount, and cost center allocations to ensure proper accounting and reporting
- Handle payroll disbursements through banks, ensuring timely salary transfers and managing related agreements
- Maintain confidentiality of all employee payroll information and ensure secure record keeping
- Resolve payroll discrepancies, respond to employee queries, and provide clear guidance on payroll-related issues
- Prepare monthly reports on headcount, payroll spend, and growth metrics for management oversight
Experience & skills
- Bachelorβs degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
- SOCPA certification is mandatory
- 2β4 years of experience in payroll processing or accounting
- Strong knowledge of Saudi labor laws, GOSI, and payroll cycles
- Proficiency in ERP systems and Microsoft Excel for payroll and accounting operations
- High accuracy, attention to detail, and integrity in handling confidential payroll data
- Analytical and problem-solving skills for payroll discrepancies and reporting
- Effective communication and teamwork abilities to coordinate with Finance and employees
- Ability to work under pressure and meet strict deadlines in a dynamic work environment
