Job description
Luxoft's Investment Technology support team keeps a range of applications running for an investment management organisation, and this Senior Specialist role sits inside that team in Abu Dhabi. Portfolio Managers, Traders, Middle Office and Operations teams all rely on this function when systems misbehave, so both technical depth and business understanding matter here. You'll support key in-house and off-the-shelf Investment Technology applications, analysing system logs and business workflows to pin down where issues actually sit. PMS/OMS platforms such as Charles River, and EMS systems including Flextrade, Liquidnet, BBG EMS.Tethys, Orchestrade and SpiderRock, form the core of what this team supports day to day. Root cause analysis, debugging and interrogation sit alongside implementing production changes and hotfixes, with escalation to L3 or the vendor when a fix sits beyond this level. Middleware and integration knowledge comes into play too, covering MQ, file transfer and Logic Apps, plus tools like GitLab, GitHub, Databricks, ServiceNow, JIRA, AWS, Splunk and Control-M, Stone Branch or Autosys for scheduling. Scripting ability in Python, PowerShell, Perl, Shell, Bash, Java or JavaScript rounds out the technical side, along with good SQL knowledge and, ideally, exposure to monitoring tools such as GENEOS ITRS or Dynatrace. On-call support runs on a rotation basis, and the role calls for breaking complex problems into manageable parts while occasionally leading initiatives of varying complexity. A bachelor's or master's degree in computer science or a related discipline is preferred, together with around 5 years of relevant experience within L2 application support and fluency in English at C1 level.
