Job description
The International Tax Advisory Manager at EY plays a key leadership role within the International Tax & Transaction Services (ITTS) practice, advising clients on regional and international tax implications of cross-border operations. Based in Dubai, the role involves managing complex international tax engagements, providing strategic and technical guidance on issues such as permanent establishment, double taxation treaties, withholding tax, corporate tax structuring, and global compliance. The manager will oversee client delivery to ensure technical accuracy, compliance, and high service quality. As part of a global network, the position also involves coordinating with other EY offices, managing cross-border engagements, and contributing to the firmâs knowledge base through training, publications, and thought leadership. The role demands a strong understanding of international tax laws, corporate structuring, and multi-jurisdictional tax frameworks, with the ability to apply commercial acumen to client advisory scenarios. The Manager will also be responsible for developing junior team members, managing engagement profitability, and contributing to business development. This is a client-facing role suited to tax professionals with proven managerial experience, strong analytical and communication skills, and a deep technical grasp of global tax issues.

- Manage the successful delivery of complex international tax advisory engagements for regional and global clients.
- Advise clients on international taxation matters including permanent establishment, double taxation, corporate structuring, and withholding tax implications.
- Lead client relationships by understanding business operations, identifying tax opportunities, and delivering tailored advisory solutions.
- Collaborate with global EY teams to manage multi-jurisdictional projects and ensure technical consistency across engagements.
- Provide practical and technical excellence in international tax advisory to ensure compliance with regional and global tax regulations.
- Contribute to the development of the ITTS practice through internal training, knowledge sharing, and process improvement initiatives.
- Support business development by identifying opportunities within the existing client portfolio and assisting in proposal preparation.
- Participate in internal and external presentations, conferences, and contribute to the publication of expert articles on international tax topics.
- Manage, mentor, and develop junior team members to build capability within the international tax team.
- Ensure timely project delivery, manage engagement economics, and maintain EYâs quality and risk management standards.
Experience & skills
- Bachelorâs degree in Tax, Economics, Accounting, Finance, or related field; relevant Masterâs degree accepted.
- Professional qualification preferred, such as ADIT, ATT, ACCA, CPA, CA, or LLB.
- Minimum of 6 years of experience in international tax advisory, ideally within a Big Four or equivalent professional services environment.
- Broad expertise in inbound and outbound investments, international taxation, and cross-border structuring.
- Strong technical knowledge of tax codes, treaties, and compliance frameworks across multiple jurisdictions.
- Demonstrated experience in managing client relationships and delivering complex advisory projects.
- Excellent organizational, analytical, and communication skills with strong attention to detail.
- Ability to manage teams, mentor junior staff, and oversee multiple projects simultaneously.
- Fluency in English required; proficiency in Arabic preferred.
- Commercially driven mindset with the ability to identify and address client needs while supporting EYâs strategic objectives.
