Job description
The RCM Application Support Specialist is responsible for the successful and timely support and deployment of the TrakCare product by providing deep application knowledge in functional areas including product support, requirements scoping, field design documentation, and change request testing. This role acts as an expert product resource for partners, ensuring support aligns with the business requirements of healthcare customers while following InterSystems methodologies and processes. The specialist liaises with customers to understand workflows and requirements, provides application support for TrakCare Hospital Management System, escalates unresolved issues according to policies, conducts individual and group training, product demonstrations, and workshops. The position emphasizes continuous improvement of customer satisfaction by collecting and escalating feedback, serving as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) for TrakCare, enhancing response times through improved communication, analytical and learning skills, and potentially participating in on-site support and a 24-hour on-call roster. The role requires understanding hospital information, patient administration (PAS), billing, and revenue cycle management systems, health informatics standards, reporting requirements, legislative controls, and experience in software support including development, quality engineering, and solutions architecture.

Key responsibilities
- Provide immediate response to customer inquiries in accordance with service standards
- Support current installed base customers and act as the link between customers and the InterSystems Global Support organization
- Liaise with customers to understand work processes and requirements for TrakCare application support
- Deliver application support for the TrakCare Hospital Management System tailored to business requirements
- Follow InterSystems methodologies and processes while supporting TrakCare
- Escalate unresolved problems according to current policies and procedures
- Conduct individual and group training, product demonstrations, and workshops
- Continuously improve customer satisfaction by soliciting and escalating customer suggestions for product and service improvements
- Serve as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) for TrakCare
- Improve response time to customer inquiries through enhanced communication, analytical, and learning skills
- Collaborate with partners to identify potential product changes within product parameters
- Participate in on-site support if required
- Participate in the on-call 24-hour roster service
Experience & skills
- Demonstrated aptitude for problem-solving and leveraging technology to improve processes
- Understanding and experience in product solutions support
- Experience with Hospital Information Systems
- Proven ability to develop innovative solutions for software product support
- Experience in software roles including Developer, Quality Engineer, and/or Solutions Architect
- Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously within tight time constraints
- Proven ability to work through problems with different customer groups achieving positive outcomes
- Understanding and experience with Hospital Information, Patient Administration (PAS), Billing, and Revenue Cycle Management Systems
- Knowledge of Health Informatics standards, reporting requirements, and legislative controls
