Job description
The Red Sea Development Services Company is seeking a Senior Manager - Electrical Engineering to join its Projects Delivery division within the Engineering department. Reporting to the ELV Associate Director, this role is a key part of the ELV team responsible for overseeing consultant and contractor design submissions, including concept, coordination, design documentation, and contract administration. The Senior Manager will ensure that all ELV systemsâincluding fire and voice alarm systems, telecommunications, BMS, and extra-low voltage servicesâare designed and executed to meet the standards of a 6-star property. The position involves providing technical review services, leading design progress meetings, liaising with local authorities, participating in value engineering exercises, and ensuring adherence to corporate quality and safety standards. The role also requires preparing technical RFPs, reviewing design deliverables, generating progress reports, and ensuring compliance with TRSDCâs OH&S requirements. The successful candidate will possess deep technical expertise in ICT and ELV systems, strong coordination skills, and the ability to manage multiple stakeholders. A focus on continual professional development, quality assurance, and proactive problem-solving is essential to succeed in this leadership role. Key responsibilities
- Provide technical review services to ensure the timely and high-quality completion of ELV designs for complex hospitality and infrastructure projects
- Review consultant and contractor design submissions including concepts, coordination drawings, and design documentation
- Lead participation in design progress meetings, coordination workshops, and value engineering exercises
- Liaise with local authorities to ensure design compliance with applicable regulations and standards
- Participate in preparation of technical RFPs for ELV-related services and systems
- Oversee design review of consultant/contractor-designed ELV systems including fire and voice alarms, telecommunication, BMS, and related low-voltage utilities
- Prepare meeting minutes, design review documentation, and progress reports for senior management
- Ensure adherence to corporate standards, safety regulations, and TRSDCâs OH&S requirements
- Maintain robust quality assurance processes throughout the design and review stages
- Support continual improvement by maintaining professional knowledge and incorporating new technologies and methodologies into projects
Experience & skills
- Bachelorâs Degree in Electronics, Communication, or IT discipline (B.Eng or B.Sc)
- Minimum of 8 years of relevant experience in the design and delivery of ELV and electrical engineering projects within the consulting industry
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office software including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
- Sound knowledge of design software tools relevant to electrical and ELV engineering
- Experience designing ICT and ELV systems such as structured cabling, data networks, fibre optics, WiFi, and other wireless technologies
- Basic understanding of CCTV, access control, intrusion alarms, audio-video intercom, and public address systems across IT networks
- Strong understanding of engineering and design procedures for various building types
- Proven ability to lead, coordinate, and direct teams within high-pressure project environments
