Job description
Oliver Wyman is seeking experienced consulting professionals to join its Dubai office within the Public Sector practice, with a focus on Sports and Entertainment across the GCC. The role is available at Associate and Engagement Manager levels, depending on experience. The successful candidate will support government entities, sovereign wealth funds, federations, leagues, clubs, and regulatory bodies in shaping strategy, enhancing performance, and unlocking long-term commercial value in a rapidly evolving sports and entertainment landscape. This position involves leading or supporting complex strategy and transformation engagements, managing client relationships, delivering rigorous analytical insights, and driving practical recommendations. The role requires strong consulting experience, sector expertise, and the ability to operate effectively in fast-paced, high-impact environments, with regular travel across the region.
Required skills
Key responsibilities
- Lead or support strategic consulting engagements for public sector and sports & entertainment clients across the GCC region.
- Break down complex strategic problems into structured workstreams, guiding junior consultants and ensuring analytical rigor.
- Develop and test hypotheses, conduct detailed qualitative and quantitative analysis, and synthesize findings into actionable recommendations.
- Design and deliver strategies related to sector development, investment planning, operational improvement, governance, and public policy.
- Engage closely with senior government officials, executives, and stakeholders to ensure recommendations are practical and aligned with strategic objectives.
- Manage small to mid-sized teams, ensuring timely delivery of high-quality outputs under tight deadlines.
- Prepare and deliver compelling presentations and reports to senior client leadership.
- Contribute to business development initiatives, proposal writing, and thought leadership in the sports and entertainment domain.
- Build and maintain strong, trusted client relationships across ministries, sovereign wealth funds, federations, leagues, and clubs.
- Collaborate across global Oliver Wyman teams to leverage sector expertise and proprietary insights.
Experience & skills
- Degree from a top academic institution; advanced degree (MBA or equivalent) preferred.
- At least 5–7 years of relevant experience, ideally within a top-tier strategy consulting firm or comparable organization.
- Demonstrated experience leading projects within government or public sector institutions, preferably in the GCC region.
- Strong expertise in Sports and Entertainment strategy, investment, operations, or public policy advisory.
- Proven track record of leading teams and managing client relationships in fast-paced, demanding environments.
- Exceptional analytical and structured problem-solving capabilities.
- Outstanding written and verbal communication skills, with confidence presenting to senior executives.
- Entrepreneurial mindset with initiative, curiosity, and a strong desire to learn.
- Arabic language proficiency is a plus.
- Willingness to travel across the region as required.
