Job description
Citi is seeking a Citigold Relationship Banker to join its Dubai Wealth Management team. The successful candidate will manage high-value client portfolios, providing tailored financial advice and personalized service to Citigold customers. This role focuses on deepening relationships, cross-selling investment and banking products, and acquiring new affluent clients through proactive engagement. The position requires strong understanding of wealth management principles, compliance awareness, and relationship management skills to drive growth while maintaining Citiās high standards of ethics, risk management, and client experience.
Required skills
Key responsibilities
- Manage and grow a portfolio of Citigold (CG) clients, ensuring consistent engagement and satisfaction
- Conduct financial planning and risk profiling to understand and address client needs
- Advise clients on suitable banking, investment, and insurance products to enhance portfolio returns
- Drive new business through referrals, events, and proactive networking within target client segments
- Monitor product penetration and identify cross-selling opportunities to increase share of wallet
- Organize and host Citigold client events to strengthen relationships and promote brand loyalty
- Ensure full compliance with KYC, AML, and regulatory requirements across all client interactions
- Maintain client records, documentation, and communication logs in adherence with policy standards
- Collaborate with internal teams to ensure seamless service delivery and client onboarding
- Demonstrate sound judgment in managing client issues, identifying risks, and escalating where necessary
- Support branch and business unit goals by contributing to acquisition, retention, and revenue targets
- Uphold Citiās standards of transparency, integrity, and client-first conduct in all professional activities
Experience & skills
- 3ā5 years of experience in wealth management, relationship banking, or financial advisory roles
- Strong background in client relationship management, investment products, and financial planning
- Proficiency in customer engagement, portfolio development, and cross-selling strategies
- Thorough knowledge of KYC, AML, and compliance procedures within financial institutions
- Exceptional communication, interpersonal, and negotiation skills
- Ability to prioritize workloads and deliver results under tight deadlines
- Experience with CRM tools and digital banking systems
- Ethical mindset with strong awareness of risk and compliance frameworks
- Mandatory certifications for selling financial or investment products (as required by UAE regulations)
- Fluency in English; Arabic proficiency is a plus
