The Building Segment Sales Lead – Projects is responsible for driving sales performance and strategic growth within ABB’s Building Segment, focusing on electrical distribution and management technologies including low-voltage and medium-voltage electrical components, switchgear, digital devices, enclosures, and circuit breakers. The role ensures achievement of annual sales targets and year-on-year growth by developing and executing segment-level sales strategies aligned with market trends, customer requirements, and long-term organizational objectives. The position leads and develops a country-level Building Segment sales team, setting objectives, conducting performance reviews, identifying training needs, and supporting continuous professional development to maximize team effectiveness. It also involves strengthening the local channel ecosystem by developing panel builders across the Kingdom and enhancing their technical and commercial capabilities through structured programs and tools. The role maintains and expands the customer base by managing relationships with EPC contractors, consultants, and strategic end users, ensuring sustained business growth and opportunity creation. It requires robust pipeline management and accurate forecasting using Salesforce CRM to ensure visibility of sales opportunities, pipeline health, and revenue predictability. The role combines strong technical knowledge of ABB low-voltage switchgear solutions with commercial expertise to articulate value propositions and support complex B2B project sales cycles. The position requires close collaboration across stakeholders, leadership of sales execution plans, and responsibility for delivering performance outcomes in a competitive industrial electrification market focused on improving energy efficiency, reliability, and sustainability.

Key responsibilities
- Achieve annual sales targets and drive year-on-year revenue growth within the Building Segment by executing strategic sales plans aligned with ABB’s business objectives and market opportunities in electrical distribution and switchgear solutions
- Develop and implement Building Segment sales strategies by analyzing market trends, customer needs, and competitive positioning to maximize penetration in low-voltage and medium-voltage electrical solutions markets
- Lead and manage the Building Segment sales team by setting performance objectives, conducting regular performance reviews, providing coaching, and ensuring consistent execution of sales plans across the country
- Strengthen and develop channel partner networks by expanding and supporting local panel builders, enhancing their technical capabilities, and enabling them through ABB tools and programs to improve market competitiveness
- Manage and grow key customer relationships with EPC contractors, consultants, and strategic end users by maintaining engagement, identifying opportunities, and ensuring long-term business development pipelines
- Oversee sales pipeline management and forecasting using Salesforce CRM by tracking opportunities, ensuring data accuracy, reviewing pipeline health, and implementing corrective actions to meet revenue targets
- Provide technical sales support by articulating ABB low-voltage switchgear solutions and electrical distribution systems value propositions to customers and stakeholders in complex B2B project environments
- Drive cross-functional collaboration and execution excellence by aligning sales activities with organizational strategy, ensuring coordination between technical, commercial, and customer-facing teams
Experience & skills
- Apply minimum 10+ years of experience in B2B project sales with at least 5 years specifically in electrical switchgear solutions within the electrical engineering or power distribution industry
- Hold a Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering with strong technical foundation in electrical systems, switchgear technologies, and power distribution principles
- Demonstrate proven leadership capability in managing and developing sales teams, including performance management, coaching, and objective setting
- Utilize strong knowledge of ABB low-voltage switchgear solutions and related electrical components to support technical sales discussions and value proposition development
- Operate Salesforce CRM effectively for pipeline management, forecasting, and sales reporting in a structured B2B sales environment
- Engage effectively with EPC contractors, consultants, panel builders, and end users to develop and maintain long-term strategic customer relationships
- Apply strong communication, interpersonal, and negotiation skills to influence stakeholders and close complex project sales opportunities
- Deliver consistent sales performance in a target-driven environment focused on electrification, energy efficiency, and industrial project execution
