Job description
The Data Analyst will be part of a growing Data team, responsible for transforming raw data into clear, actionable insights that drive informed decision-making. The role involves gathering data from multiple sources, ensuring its accuracy, and analyzing it to uncover patterns, trends, and opportunities. The analyst will work closely with senior analysts, product managers, engineers, and business stakeholders to create dashboards, reports, and visualizations that support business objectives. This position offers hands-on experience in BI tools, SQL, data validation, and cross-functional collaboration, making it an excellent opportunity for someone early in their analytics career.
Required skills
Key responsibilities
- Collect, clean, and organize data from production, warehouse, and external sources to ensure accuracy and reliability.
- Develop and maintain data collection systems, pipelines, and processes to optimize efficiency and quality.
- Perform exploratory data analysis (EDA) to identify patterns, trends, and actionable insights within datasets.
- Use BI tools to build and maintain dashboards, reports, and visualizations that support stakeholders and business decisions.
- Interpret data findings and communicate them through reports, dashboards, and presentations to various stakeholders.
- Monitor and validate data quality, supporting initiatives for data integrity, normalization, and standardization.
- Document data sources, processes, and definitions to improve knowledge-sharing and team consistency.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements and deliver data solutions aligned with business priorities.
- Support testing, troubleshooting, and enhancement of reporting systems and data pipelines.
- Train end-users on reports, dashboards, and data tools to maximize adoption and effectiveness.
- Work with senior team members to define metrics, track performance, and prioritize analytics projects.
- Identify opportunities to improve processes and enable more effective data-driven decision-making.
Experience & skills
- Bachelor’s degree in a quantitative discipline such as Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science, or Engineering.
- 0–2 years of experience in data analysis or related fields, including internships or academic projects.
- Proficiency in SQL for data querying and manipulation.
- Familiarity with at least one BI/visualization tool such as Tableau, Looker, or Metabase.
- Understanding of data cleaning techniques and basic statistical concepts.
- Strong analytical skills with high attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to communicate insights effectively through reports, dashboards, and presentations.
- Eagerness to learn, take initiative, and actively participate in data validation and quality improvement efforts.
