Inside a major UAE shopping mall that stays open throughout, Mace is managing multiple refurbishment and redevelopment projects, and this Project Manager leads the fit-out and refurbishment packages from design to handover. Several packages run at once, each with programme, cost, quality and safety targets to meet. Clients, consultants, contractors, tenants and mall operations teams all deal with you as their main point of contact. Contractor programmes, methodologies, resource plans and sequencing are reviewed and challenged where needed. Design development, technical reviews and value engineering are coordinated alongside procurement and construction. Disruption to mall operations has to stay to a minimum, which makes interface management a daily concern. Project meetings are chaired here, with regular reporting on milestones, commercial matters and risks, and each package closes out with testing, commissioning, snagging and handover. Candidates need a degree in civil engineering, architecture or construction management, proven retail fit-out or refurbishment experience in live environments such as malls, airports or hotels, and knowledge of MEP coordination and statutory approvals, with PMC and UAE or GCC experience preferred.
