Job description
The Reward Specialist is responsible for managing the implementation and delivery of a range of best practice Reward programmes and activities within Serco's corporate operations in Dubai, including salary review processes, market benchmarking, pay deck development, job evaluation, benefit portfolio management, functional remuneration and incentive schemes, as well as reward policy and processes. This role involves conducting market research, making recommendations on the SME Reward Strategy, preparing reward communications for senior management, producing and reviewing all reward-related reports, enhancing reward tools and processes for efficiency and scalability, managing the Reward Calendar, and creating country-specific and contract-specific pay decks in liaison with HRBPs in line with pay positioning strategy. The role requires knowledge of reward practices across the Middle East, comprehensive understanding of employment legislation in Middle East countries, experience with project management, statistical and numerical analysis, Excel and PowerPoint proficiency, and the ability to handle confidential information tactfully. The role contributes to operational transformation and advisory services, aligning with Serco’s +impact division, supporting government and regulated business operations, and ensuring positive outcomes in service efficiency, customer experience, safety, and environmental performance.

Key responsibilities
- Conduct market research and provide recommendations on SME Reward Strategy and Standard Operating Procedures for all reward elements
- Prepare and deliver reward communications for Senior Management
- Manage, produce, and review all reward-related reports
- Review, maintain, and enhance reward tools and processes to ensure effectiveness, efficiency, and scalability
- Manage the Reward Calendar to ensure all key deliverables are met within required timeframes
- Create and oversee implementation of country-specific and contract-specific pay decks in liaison with HRBPs in line with pay positioning strategy
Experience & skills
- Relevant degree within HR, numeracy or analysis
- Excellent knowledge of reward practices across the Middle East
- Comprehensive knowledge of employment legislation in Middle East countries
- Knowledge of Job Evaluation methodologies and Total Reward Management
- Project Management skills including planning and organizing
- Statistical analysis and numerical skills
- Proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint
- Experience interpreting and producing high quality management information
- Experience handling highly confidential and sensitive information with tact and diplomacy
- Experience preparing business cases and presentations for senior stakeholders
- Minimum 5 years’ experience as a Reward Specialist or similar
