Job description
The Senior Manager - Private Banking at Abu Dhabi Commercial Bank PJSC is responsible for providing high-net-worth clients with comprehensive banking and investment solutions, including wealth planning, investment management, and complex loan structuring. The role entails leading the New-to-Bank (NTB) client acquisition process, optimizing service synergies, and achieving departmental targets while contributing to overall profitability. The position involves day-to-day relationship management, resolving client issues, identifying opportunities for new product solutions, and facilitating cross-selling initiatives by coordinating with internal specialists. The incumbent ensures compliance with all relevant regulations, policies, and procedures to mitigate credit, legal, reputational, and operational risks. Responsibilities include adhering to organisational and departmental policies and procedures to deliver consistent service standards, self-management in line with Bank policies, and demonstrating ADCB’s service promise in all customer interactions. The role requires at least 7 years of experience in relationship management within a commercial or universal bank, serving high-net-worth clients, executing client transactions across business segments, and applying fact-based analysis to support decisions and influence stakeholder buy-in. The candidate should have strong client service and acquisition skills, networking ability across stakeholder groups, excellent communication skills, and proficiency in written and spoken English.

Key responsibilities
- Direct and lead the New-to-Bank (NTB) client acquisition process, capturing client service synergies, achieving assigned acquisition targets, and contributing to departmental profitability.
- Perform day-to-day relationship management activities to ensure high-quality service delivery, address client inquiries and issues promptly, and maintain client satisfaction and loyalty.
- Analyze client feedback, identify opportunities for new product solutions, collaborate with internal specialists to source and deliver tailored wealth management solutions, and support clients’ investment and borrowing requirements including complex loan structuring.
- Identify and develop cross-selling opportunities by proactively interacting with internal resources to provide integrated product and service solutions aligned with clients’ needs.
- Ensure adherence to all relevant regulatory, credit, legal, operational, and reputational risk standards, maintain high-quality execution of transactions and service delivery, and comply with organisational policies, processes, procedures, and standard operating procedures.
- Apply ADCB Service Standards and Our Promise to all customer interactions, delivering consistent, professional, and client-centric service internally and externally.
- Manage self in line with Bank people management policies, processes, and practices, maximizing contribution to business performance and professional development.
- Engage with stakeholders across business areas to foster collaboration, build networks, and influence the development of solutions and initiatives in line with strategic objectives.
Experience & skills
- At least 7 years of experience in a commercial or universal bank in a client-facing relationship management role, working with high-net-worth clients and executing client transactions across multiple business segments.
- Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Economics, or a related field; participation in Associate Wealth Manager (AWM) Programmes is advantageous.
- Demonstrated client acquisition and client service skills, with the ability to manage and expand relationships with high-net-worth clients.
- Strong analytical skills, able to use fact-based analysis to develop solutions and gain support for new concepts and ideas.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and spoken English, with the ability to influence and collaborate across stakeholder groups.
- Ability to identify and act on cross-selling opportunities, provide investment and wealth management solutions, and support complex loan structuring requirements.
- Knowledge of risk management principles, including credit, legal, operational, and reputational risk, and adherence to regulatory and internal compliance requirements.
- Ability to manage self, work independently, and contribute effectively to business performance while following Bank policies, procedures, and service standards.
