Job description
Red Sea Coastal Trading Company keeps materials, equipment and services moving to Red Sea Global's remote developments, and this Senior Purchasing Specialist handles electrical systems and building and finishing materials within Category Management. Requirements are defined with stakeholders, including hotel and operator engineering teams, before items are sourced, negotiated, ordered and delivered. Contracts lock in negotiated prices for operating items, and quotations and supplier price lists are kept current. Market and demand forecasting helps spot shifts in buyer-supplier power and plan standing orders for high-consumption items. SAP material creation calls for accurate descriptions, UOM, sizing, brand and country of origin. Approved purchase orders go out to suppliers daily, pending orders are checked every day, and delivery dates stay in line with supplier promises. Price and quantity discrepancy reports from cost control are reviewed and approved, and obsolete items are followed through to disposal. A Bachelor's degree in Electrical or Civil Engineering and at least 3 years procuring electrical systems or building and finishing materials for construction projects are required, along with the ability to read technical specifications and SAP user experience.
