Job description
The Senior Insurance Officer at ADNOC Global Trading will be responsible for managing the company's insurance policies and claims processes, ensuring compliance with ADNOC Corporate Insurance Division standards. The role includes reviewing insurance documentation, coordinating asset valuations, verifying policy premiums, supporting risk assessment reports, and leading internal awareness initiatives. This position requires collaboration with operations and technical teams and involves preparing budgets and regulatory reports. The Officer will also assist in claims negotiations and support insurance tender evaluations.
Required skills
Key responsibilities
- Review insurance claims documentation and ensure timely submission
- Evaluate insurance clauses in contracts and contractor-submitted policies
- Verify premium calculations against policy terms
- Review asset valuation reports and ensure alignment with the asset register
- Support and document fully compliant insurance claims
- Participate in negotiation and settlement of claims
- Review risk assessments and monitor implementation of recommendations
- Support the technical and commercial evaluation of insurance tenders
- Prepare the annual insurance budget and circular
- Deliver internal insurance awareness workshops and presentations
- Ensure compliance with ADNOC policies and UAE regulations
- Contribute to performance management and innovation within the section
Experience & skills
- Bachelorās degree in Accounting, Commerce, or equivalent
- 5+ years of insurance/claims experience in the oil & gas or industrial sector
- Experience in the UAE preferred
- Proficiency in English, both written and verbal
- Strong computer skills including MS Office, spreadsheets, and database applications
- Familiarity with ETRM systems and budget planning
- Knowledge of insurance policy compliance and asset risk management
