Job description
The Accounts Payable Lead at Mozn oversees the end-to-end accounts payable function within a rapidly growing artificial intelligence and data science company based in Riyadh. The role ensures accuracy, timeliness, and compliance across all AP processes while adhering to Saudi tax laws and accounting standards. The successful candidate will manage invoice processing, reconciliations, and financial reporting while implementing controls to maintain accuracy and efficiency. Responsibilities include maintaining a daily invoice tracker, ensuring timely processing, performing month-end closings, and guaranteeing compliance with WHT and VAT requirements under Saudi regulations. The position also entails preparing and submitting monthly tax returns, facilitating internal and external audits, and guiding team members in daily AP operations. Hands-on experience with ERP systems (Oracle, Microsoft Dynamics, or Odoo) and strong knowledge of local tax laws are essential. The Accounts Payable Lead plays a pivotal role in maintaining financial integrity, supporting compliance, and contributing to Moznās mission of driving innovation in AI through strong operational and financial governance.

Key responsibilities
- Ensure proper accounting for all accounts payable transactions, maintaining accuracy, completeness, and a 3-way match process
- Prepare and maintain a detailed daily invoice tracker to monitor processed and pending invoices
- Process all invoices in a timely manner, ensuring adherence to company policies and deadlines
- Perform month-end closing activities according to managementās reporting schedule
- Ensure correct deduction and reporting of Withholding Tax (WHT) as per Saudi tax laws
- Apply Value Added Tax (VAT) accurately and prepare monthly VAT returns
- Prepare monthly reconciliations to maintain financial accuracy and compliance
- Support internal and external audit processes by providing schedules, documentation, and audit responses
- Supervise and provide guidance to team members on executing daily accounts payable tasks
- Ensure compliance with accounting standards, Saudi tax regulations, and corporate governance policies
- Assist management with ad hoc financial analyses, reports, and project requirements
Experience & skills
- Bachelorās degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline
- Professional qualification required (CA, ACCA, CPA, or CMA)
- SOCPA registration required
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in accounts payable or shared services, with at least 3 years in a leadership or head role
- Proven hands-on experience with ERP systems such as Oracle, Microsoft Dynamics, or Odoo
- Strong understanding of Saudi Tax Laws, particularly Withholding Tax (WHT) and Value Added Tax (VAT)
- Experience in month-end closing, reconciliations, and compliance reporting
- Ability to manage audit requirements, ensuring accuracy and regulatory adherence
- Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to meet tight deadlines
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to manage and mentor team members effectively
