Job description
The Events Specialist (PR & Communication) at IKEA Kuwait is responsible for connecting the IKEA brand with the local community through impactful, memorable, and high-quality events. The role focuses on strengthening brand visibility, positioning, and attachment by co-creating, planning, and executing unique events throughout the year. The specialist develops and implements the yearly Brand Events PR & Communication Plan, ensuring creativity, relevance, and efficient resource use. Key responsibilities include leading the execution of event elements such as venue setup, programming, communication, entertainment, and attendee management, collaborating closely with cross-functional teams including Marketing & Communication, People & Culture, Co-worker Communication, Commercial, Customer Experience, and IKEA Food. The specialist coordinates PR and communication activities with external partners, builds relationships with NGOs, civil associations, and authorities, and manages event budgets to maximize impact and long-term value. Continuous feedback collection and analysis from events ensures innovation, improvement, and enhanced engagement for future initiatives.

- Co-create, plan, and execute inspiring brand events that increase IKEA’s visibility and community connection
- Develop, implement, and monitor the yearly Brand Events PR & Communication Plan
- Lead creative and high-quality execution of all event elements ensuring a seamless attendee experience
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams and key stakeholders for integrated event delivery
- Coordinate and manage communication and PR activities with external partners to maintain brand consistency
- Identify, build, and maintain partnerships with third-party organizations, public authorities, and NGOs
- Manage events within approved budgets while maximizing impact and cost efficiency
- Collect, analyze, and share feedback to improve future events and strengthen planning processes
Experience & skills
- Degree in Marketing, Communication, or equivalent practical experience
- 3–5 years of experience in event planning and management or related roles
- Demonstrated capability to organize and execute successful events with innovative solutions
- Proven ability to engage and build relationships with customers, partners, and stakeholders
- Strong networking skills and understanding of diverse cultural contexts
- Excellent communication skills for interaction with internal and external stakeholders
- Attention to detail and meticulous organizational skills
- Ability to handle multiple tasks in fast-paced environments
- Arabic or French language skills are a plus for multicultural communication
