Job description
Seeking a highly motivated MENA FX Market Maker to join the trading desk in Dubai at Analyst/Associate level depending on skill set. The role involves contributing to the MENA FX Teamās profitability by trading and risk managing a portfolio of MENA FX spot and forwards, managing peripheral currencies, collaborating with Sales, Treasury Markets, and other support functions to resolve issues and grow the business, while maintaining a deep understanding of financial markets.

Key responsibilities
- Contribute to the MENA FX Team profitability
- Trade and risk manage a portfolio of MENA FX Spot and Forward
- Manage a portfolio of peripheral currencies
- Interact and communicate regularly with Sales, Treasury Markets, Traders, and other support functions to resolve issues and grow the business
- Work within the FX Trading MENA team to support the business and identify initiatives to grow the franchise in MENA
- Implement FX Trading MENA specific strategies to ensure performance and financial objectives are met
- Manage funding and Nostros
- Build stronger and deeper relationships with Sales to offer clients better products and services
- Maintain awareness and understanding of the wider business, economic and market environment in which the Group operates
- Communicate market views and translate them into trading strategies
- Improve knowledge on related financial markets/products
- Resolve settlement issues, check limits, etc.
- Analyze P&L on a daily basis and keep management informed of P&L, risk, flows, and issues
Experience & skills
- Trading or market making experience in Banking (FICC products)
- Strong understanding of Spot and Forward markets
- Strong mathematical skills
- CFA Level 1 Qualification or equivalent
- Undergraduate Degree
- Languages: English required, Arabic preferred
