Job description
Citi is seeking a Markets Business Manager to play a pivotal role in maintaining a robust control environment across its Markets organization in the Middle East, Egypt, and Pakistan. The role is integral to enabling sustainable business growth, facilitating strategic initiatives, product expansion, and driving technology transformation across all asset classes. The position involves oversight of risk and control processes, project leadership, reporting, and collaboration with regulatory bodies and senior stakeholders to align control efforts with business objectives.

Key responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive updates on financial performance, market opportunities, and critical risk and control issues.
- Manage escalation points and facilitate effective engagement with regulatory bodies.
- Drive execution of business-driven projects, collaborating with leadership and cross-functional teams.
- Contribute to technology and process optimization while enhancing the control framework.
- Develop and deliver performance metrics and reporting for transparency across risk areas.
- Advance the control framework, including MCA testing and operational loss process management.
- Oversee and support audit and compliance activities to ensure favorable outcomes.
- Cultivate strong relationships with country product, business, and functional partners.
- Coordinate efforts across Markets teams and align control initiatives with business strategy.
- Identify and ensure implementation of corrective actions for control-related issues.
Experience & skills
- Relevant proven experience in financial markets, in business or business support capacity.
- Exposure to and understanding of financial markets products.
- Solid comprehension of the broader financial markets regulatory landscape.
- Minimum of a Bachelor's degree (Finance, Project Management, Accounting preferred).
- Master’s degree or professional certifications (finance-related) are a plus.
