Job description
The Strategy Analyst (Sub Saharan Africa Markets Experience) at Visa will join the CEMEA Corporate Strategy team based in Dubai, responsible for shaping the company’s long-term strategic direction and addressing enterprise-level challenges across the payments and technology ecosystem. The role involves independently designing and leading components of strategic initiatives that strengthen Visa’s competitive advantage and deliver measurable commercial impact. The Analyst will deconstruct complex business problems, apply structured problem-solving frameworks, and generate data-driven insights to support actionable recommendations. This position requires deep quantitative and qualitative analysis skills, the ability to craft and communicate clear executive-level presentations, and a creative yet practical approach to strategic problem-solving. The Analyst will engage with senior leadership across Visa’s global organization to drive strategy development in areas such as go-to-market planning, product strategy, and partnership or acquisition opportunities, particularly within Sub Saharan African markets. The role emphasizes thought leadership, cross-functional collaboration, investment evaluation, and the design of strategies with tangible, implementable outcomes that align with Visa’s commercial and financial goals.

- Independently lead and design portions of Visa’s corporate strategy that create sustainable competitive advantage and measurable business impact
- Break down complex business problems and define structured approaches to develop clear and actionable insights
- Formulate hypotheses and manage workstreams to address strategic challenges across markets and business functions
- Conduct deep quantitative and qualitative analysis to support recommendations with evidence-based insights
- Develop innovative, practical, and implementable strategic solutions for business leaders and stakeholders
- Ensure strategic initiatives drive tangible commercial results and secure stakeholder alignment and buy-in
- Design frameworks for prioritizing strategic initiatives and assessing investment opportunities for strategic and financial value
- Prepare persuasive, executive-level presentations and reports to influence senior decision-makers
- Drive thought leadership on emerging payment, technology, and market trends within Sub Saharan Africa and beyond
- Support cross-functional collaboration and act as a contributor to Visa’s enterprise-wide strategy execution
Experience & skills
- Bachelor’s Degree required
- Minimum of 2 years of work experience in management consulting, corporate strategy, investment banking, or equivalent analytical role
- Demonstrated experience living and working in the Sub Saharan Africa region is mandatory
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to conduct both quantitative and qualitative business assessments
- Proven capability to structure problems, design frameworks, and develop strategic recommendations
- Ability to translate complex findings into simple and impactful executive communications
- Experience in developing go-to-market and product strategies or evaluating partnership and acquisition opportunities
- Excellent stakeholder management and interpersonal skills, with an ability to influence across all organizational levels
- Creative thinking combined with practical business judgment to design implementable solutions
- Strong communication, presentation, and storytelling skills for senior leadership audiences
