Job description
As a Business Development Executive at Mamo Business, you will be responsible for taking ownership of the sales cycle from outreach to contract activation. The role involves identifying and generating industry-specific leads, conducting consultative product demonstrations, negotiating terms, and finalizing contracts. You will develop acquisition strategies, engage with key decision-makers, and manage CRM data to maintain KPI and customer engagement records. Additionally, you will ensure a smooth transition of new customers to account managers, tailor solutions using product knowledge, and provide feedback to product and sales teams. The role requires experience in the payments industry, strong commercial acumen, familiarity with CRM systems, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a startup environment that values responsibility, automation, and culture.
Required skills
Key responsibilities
- Identify and generate industry-specific leads
- Take ownership of the entire sales cycle, from outreach to deal closure
- Conduct consultative product demonstrations, negotiate terms, and finalize contracts
- Develop acquisition strategies and engage key decision-makers
- Manage and maintain Sales CRM cleanliness to ensure KPI and customer engagement data accuracy
- Work on handover plans with account managers for smooth customer transitions
- Use in-depth product knowledge to tailor solutions to customer needs
- Share insights from customer engagements with product and sales leadership
- Collect and screen documentation from prospective customers in coordination with the compliance team
Experience & skills
- At least two years of experience with payments industry direct sales in the GCC
- Ability to build trust effectively and navigate complex B2B payments sales cycles
- Strong commercial acumen with a proven track record in negotiating with senior leadership
- Familiarity with CRM systems such as Pipedrive, Hubspot, or Salesforce is a plus
- Persistence, energy, and strategic thinking
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment and demonstrate flexibility in priorities
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Excellent organizational and time management skills
- Good understanding of the sales process and ability to drive customer conversations
- Fluency in English (verbal and written) required; Arabic is a plus
