Job description
The Head of Go-To-Market (GTM) – Remittance role owns the end-to-end GTM strategy, revenue growth, and market capture for Lean’s Remittance vertical across the UAE and KSA. This senior leadership position is responsible for how Lean lands, grows, and scales within remittance providers, payout platforms, stablecoin-driven corridors, crypto-enabled remittance firms, and global money movement companies. The role carries full P&L ownership for the vertical and defines the vertical roadmap, including payout flows, liquidity management, treasury operations, KYC and AML workflows, corridor-specific requirements, and settlement paths. The position translates deep knowledge of remittance economics, stablecoin flows, payout liquidity, treasury constraints, compliance obligations, and competitive dynamics into a repeatable and scalable GTM engine. The role operates as the single-threaded owner representing the Remittance vertical in weekly and quarterly business reviews and cross-functional forums, accountable for targets, risks, and execution. The position is embedded in Lean’s evolution from a regulated Open Finance platform into a multi-product financial infrastructure company powering payments, data, and lending across MENA, supporting high-volume transaction processing and enterprise-grade financial services.
Required skills
Key responsibilities
- Own full P&L responsibility, GTM strategy, and market penetration for the Remittance vertical across the UAE and KSA.
- Define and execute the remittance vertical roadmap covering payout flows, liquidity management, treasury operations, KYC/AML workflows, corridor-specific needs, and settlement paths.
- Build and execute a scalable GTM model segmented across global remitters, payout networks, crypto-enabled remittance firms, and enterprise remittance operators.
- Lead high-stakes enterprise sales cycles with founders, payment leaders, compliance heads, and treasury owners within remittance organizations.
- Own deal strategy for new customer acquisition and account expansion across guaranteed payments, instant withdrawals, stablecoin settlements, and payout flows.
- Position Lean as the infrastructure partner enabling compliant, lower-cost, and high-reliability money movement across MENA.
- Partner with Product and Engineering teams to influence roadmap priorities based on corridor economics, payout SLAs, treasury constraints, fraud risks, compliance requirements, and operator workflows.
- Collaborate with Product Marketing to develop vertical-specific narratives, pricing models, use-case playbooks, and sales enablement assets for remittance customers.
- Work with Customer Success Managers and Solutions Engineers to ensure strong activation, operational readiness, and scalable consumption across high-volume remittance accounts.
- Act as Lean’s executive representative across the remittance ecosystem including industry events, regulators, crypto settlement providers, money transfer networks, and global payout partners.
- Build and maintain deep expertise across remittance operations including FX, liquidity, stablecoin on-ramps and off-ramps, risk management, treasury optimization, fraud prevention, KYC/AML, and regulatory compliance.
- Develop and manage a network of advisors, operators, and strategic partners to influence GTM direction and accelerate product adoption.
- Build and lead a dedicated GTM POD consisting of Account Executives, Customer Success Managers, and Solutions Engineers with defined KPIs and operating rhythms.
- Coach and upskill GTM talent to strengthen domain expertise, commercial judgment, and enterprise sales execution.
Experience & skills
- Demonstrate direct experience in remittance through selling into remittance providers, partnering with remitters, or working within a remittance organization, including stablecoin-enabled models.
- Possess a strong background in payments, payout infrastructure, or open banking, including experience with guaranteed payments, instant withdrawals, stablecoin flows, settlements, FX, or treasury operations.
- Show proven ability to build and scale enterprise GTM motions from the ground up.
- Demonstrate capability to independently sell and close complex enterprise-level deals.
- Operate in founder-mode with the ability to create new GTM strategies rather than only executing existing playbooks.
- Exhibit experience navigating regulated financial environments, with MENA market exposure considered an advantage.
- Demonstrate strong cross-functional influence across Product, Engineering, Customer Success, Solutions Engineering, RevOps, and executive leadership.
