Job description
Wood is seeking an Electrical Designer to support FEED phase designs for complex offshore upstream oil and gas projects in Abu Dhabi. This role involves multidisciplinary collaboration, producing technical documentation, and ensuring solutions align with project plans and specifications.

Key responsibilities
- Design and develop electrical systems for offshore upstream FEED projects
- Collaborate with other engineering disciplines for integrated project delivery
- Produce and manage technical product documentation and specifications
- Participate in design reviews and implement engineering changes
- Adapt standard engineering practices to solve emerging project issues
- Ensure designs comply with offshore industry standards and safety regulations
- Provide progress updates and reporting to project management
Experience & skills
- Diploma in Electrical Engineering (minimum)
- 5+ years of experience in electrical design, with offshore FEED project exposure
- Experience in the oil & gas sector, particularly offshore projects
- Proficient in engineering tools (e.g., AutoCAD, EPLAN)
- Strong problem-solving and documentation skills
- Excellent communication and interdisciplinary coordination capabilities
