Job description
The Principal Oracle Finance Business Application Specialist in Dubai is responsible for leading the implementation, configuration, and support of Oracle Finance modules including GL, AP, AR, FA, CM, and others. The role collaborates with Finance and IT teams to identify system enhancements and process improvements, manages integrations between Oracle and other enterprise systems, provides expert-level troubleshooting and support, and ensures compliance with internal controls and regulatory requirements. Additionally, the specialist drives user training, documentation, and change management initiatives while leveraging strong understanding of financial processes and reporting standards to support large enterprise and healthcare environments.

Key responsibilities
- Lead the end-to-end implementation and configuration of Oracle Finance modules, including GL, AP, AR, FA, and CM, ensuring alignment with organizational business processes and reporting requirements.
- Collaborate with Finance and IT teams to analyze existing workflows, identify opportunities for automation, and implement process improvements that enhance efficiency and data accuracy.
- Manage the integration of Oracle Finance with other enterprise applications, ensuring seamless data flow, reconciliation, and alignment with operational and strategic objectives.
- Provide expert-level troubleshooting and resolution for Oracle Finance system issues, including performance tuning, workflow optimization, and configuration adjustments to meet business needs.
- Develop and deliver user training programs, workshops, and detailed documentation to facilitate adoption and effective use of Oracle Finance modules, ensuring all stakeholders are informed and empowered.
- Lead change management initiatives, including the design and communication of updated processes, system enhancements, and policy changes, ensuring compliance with internal controls and regulatory requirements.
- Engage directly with business and finance leaders to understand operational needs, provide advisory support on system capabilities, and propose solutions that align with long-term strategic goals.
- Monitor system performance, conduct periodic audits, and maintain comprehensive documentation of configurations, integrations, and support procedures to ensure continuity, compliance, and knowledge transfer across teams.
Experience & skills
- Bachelor’s degree in IT, Finance, or a related field, with a Master’s degree preferred, demonstrating strong academic foundation in technology and financial systems.
- Minimum of 8 years’ experience working with Oracle Finance applications, including at least 3 years in a senior or principal-level role leading implementations and enterprise support.
- Proven experience in large enterprise or healthcare environments, managing complex financial workflows and ensuring accurate reporting across multiple business units.
- Demonstrated expertise in Oracle Finance modules including GL, AP, AR, FA, and CM, with the ability to implement, configure, troubleshoot, and optimize these systems.
- Strong understanding of financial processes, accounting principles, internal control frameworks, and regulatory requirements to ensure system compliance and accuracy.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, capable of interpreting financial data, diagnosing system issues, and recommending effective solutions that align with business needs.
- Exceptional communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence, collaborate, and provide expert guidance to cross-functional teams, executives, and end-users.
- Experience in project management, process improvement, change management, and user training within enterprise software deployments, ensuring high adoption rates and business process alignment.
