Job description
The IT Specialist at Red Sea Air Services Company supports critical IT systems across aviation operations, administration, and customer service functions. The role is essential in maintaining infrastructure reliability, system security, and seamless operation of aviation-specific platforms such as AMOS, SITA, and airline ERP systems. Responsibilities include providing hardware, software, and network support, configuring and managing system access and security settings in compliance with aviation regulatory bodies like GACA, FAA, and EASA. The specialist monitors servers, routers, and security systems, performs regular updates and disaster recovery tests, and supports departmental IT requirements. Strong problem-solving skills, experience in aviation environments, and proficiency in server environments, networking, and cybersecurity are required. The position also involves managing cloud services, liaising with vendors, and implementing technology upgrades to ensure business continuity.

Key responsibilities
- Provide technical support for hardware, software, networks, and aviation-specific IT systems
- Monitor and maintain IT infrastructure, including servers, routers, and network security systems
- Manage user access, permissions, and system configurations in line with aviation regulations
- Support aviation applications such as flight scheduling systems and maintenance tracking software
- Perform system updates, backups, and disaster recovery testing regularly
- Troubleshoot and resolve system issues with minimal operational disruption
- Collaborate with operational teams to understand and support aviation IT needs
- Ensure data security and compliance with GACA, FAA, or EASA regulations
- Support implementation of IT projects including upgrades and integrations
- Liaise with vendors for software licenses, hardware procurement, and system maintenance
Experience & skills
- Hold a Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field (mandatory)
- Possess 3–5 years of experience in an IT support or systems administration role
- Preferably have industry certifications such as CompTIA, Cisco CCNA, or Microsoft Certified Professional
- Have experience in an aviation environment or with aviation-specific systems like AMOS, SITA, or ERP platforms
- Demonstrate knowledge of aviation operational workflows
- Be proficient in Windows/Linux server environments and cybersecurity protocols
- Have hands-on experience with cloud platforms, data storage, and backup solutions
- Be familiar with aviation communication systems and related IT tools
- Exhibit strong problem-solving, troubleshooting, and critical thinking skills
- Have excellent communication and customer service abilities
- Be capable of working under pressure in a fast-paced environment
- Be team-oriented with the ability to work independently as needed
