Job description
As a Field Specialist of Wellhead – Surface Pressure Control at Baker Hughes, you will coordinate and oversee field site work, ensuring quality service delivery to customers. Responsibilities include installation, preventive maintenance, repair, calibration, and emergency response for wellhead equipment. The role also involves technical instruction, compliance with procedures, reporting, and supporting customer requirements. You will train new specialists, prepare technical documentation, manage safety and compliance, and provide leadership and technical direction in the field and workshop.

Key responsibilities
- Perform on-site installation of Wellhead equipment and preventive maintenance, repair, and calibration
- Provide technical instruction and assistance to customer representatives on installation, operation, repair, and maintenance
- Respond to supervisor calls and comply with assignments as required
- Follow procedures for Installation of Wellhead Equipment
- Report to office daily during non-field days
- Perform repair and rectification of Wellhead Equipment in workshops
- Fulfill Service Ticket equipment requirements including technical reports, JSA, risk assessment, and MOC
- Download latest bill of material and drawings for assigned jobs
- Train new Field Specialists in the field when required
- Submit expenses and bonuses on time
- Respond to customer requirements after aligning with company policies
- Provide leadership and technical direction to skilled labor at customer sites
- Write technical reports, order materials, secure quotations, and prepare time/expense sheets
- Maintain knowledge of applicable product line warranties
Experience & skills
- Diploma in Technical, Engineering or related field
- Minimum 2 years of troubleshooting experience across Wellhead Equipment and BOPs
- Wellhead field experience required
- Experience in providing innovative, adaptive technical solutions
- Ability to build relationships and collaborate with customers
- Team player with adaptability in dynamic environments
