Job description
The Manager of Unsecured Assets Policy & Portfolio Management at Dubai Islamic Bank is responsible for monitoring, analyzing, and managing the performance of unsecured lending portfolios, with a strong focus on SME lending. The role includes setting portfolio triggers, analyzing MIS data, identifying risk issues, revising credit policies, and ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements. The manager will also lead digitalization initiatives, support audits, assess credit enlistment proposals, and provide training to internal stakeholders. Collaboration with cross-functional teams is central to delivering policy excellence and aligning with the bank’s strategy.

Key responsibilities
- Set up portfolio performance triggers and analyze MIS to track unsecured product portfolio performance
- Proactively identify risk issues and recommend relevant policy revisions
- Identify digitalization opportunities and enhance credit decision automation
- Provide technical feedback on BRDs, coordinate UAT, and oversee system changes implementation
- Revise, update, and renew Product Development Document (PDD) and Operating Credit Policies (OCP)
- Raise memos for policy revisions and prepare presentations
- Serve as liaison with internal audit and external regulators to ensure lending and credit risk compliance
- Arrange training sessions to internal customers to ensure adherence to documented policies
- Provide feedback and clarifications regarding policy interpretation
- Assess TML enlistment proposals for new and existing group companies and government/semi-government entities
- Prepare analytical assessments using internal and external data, field visits, media, and market feedback
- Participate in meetings with the Head of Unsecured Policy to review and implement bank strategy
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Business, Sales, IT, Operations, Collections, Compliance, Fraud, and Service Quality
Experience & skills
- Minimum 6 years of working experience in consumer credit policy and portfolio management
- Experience managing unsecured products, especially in the SME sector
- Strong knowledge of credit risk management and portfolio performance analysis
- Experience in digitalization initiatives and credit decision automation
- Ability to manage policy documentation such as PDD and OCP
- Experience in regulatory compliance and audit coordination
- Ability to conduct analytical assessments using diverse data sources
