Job description

Well drilling, completion, and workover procedures at ADNOC Sour Gas need to align with strict technical, operational, and HSE standards, and preparing and optimizing those procedures sits at the core of this Senior Engineer, Well Completions role. You will design well trajectory and optimize well profile, drill string, and bottom hole assemblies, working through the technical detail that makes a well viable. Completion activities on the rig get overseen directly, including planning and executing operations related to completions across onshore gas projects. Evaluations of well designs lead to cost-effective solutions that enhance well viability wherever possible. Risks in drilling, completion, and well intervention operations get identified and mitigated proactively. Troubled or underperforming wells get reviewed, with remedial solutions recommended to restore productivity. Drilling and subsurface teams, along with vendors, become close collaborators in planning and executing the work. Well delivery gets managed with a full life cycle approach, covering well design, completions, drilling performance, and new technology applications. Rig mobilization, demobilization, and orientation plans get prepared, alongside wellhead casing and cementing programs that keep well integrity intact. Technical reviews of well completion designs get conducted, with well abandonment programs, cost estimates, and rig team performance all falling within scope.
