Job description
The Talent Development Manager at MATAR is responsible for designing, developing, and facilitating Talent Development initiatives aligned with MATAR's core and leadership competencies. This role ensures compliance with relevant International and National standards and MATAR's strategic objectives to maintain an operationally effective airport. Responsibilities include developing and delivering training programs to enhance the upskilling of MATAR employees and collaborating with QRNTD on the technical and professional development of Qatari Nationals. The role supports the MATAR Organisational Development Strategy by implementing tailored programmes aligned with strategic objectives and collaborates with the QR National Talent Development team to support Qatar's 2030 human development goals. The manager oversees the development of departmental trainers through Train-The-Trainer programmes, designs and promotes engagement programmes to enhance employee engagement, and develops training processes, templates, and procedures to ensure consistency and quality. Additionally, the role involves conducting Training Needs Analysis, managing contracts and technical evaluations of external training providers, designing and rolling out internal training programmes, facilitating events and workshops using adult-learning techniques and a blended approach, evaluating training programmes for effectiveness, advertising available courses, collaborating with HRBS and Recruitment teams to improve the New Hire Induction programme, and maintaining records of all training delivered. The manager also establishes departmental objectives, evaluates plans and procedures, oversees and supervises employees, provides coaching and mentoring, and ensures succession planning is in place.

- Advertise courses offered by MATAR training units and QRTD to ensure visibility and awareness
- Collaborate with HRBS and Recruitment teams to improve the New Hire Induction programme
- Maintain records of all training delivered for reporting to management
- Establish departmental objectives and priorities to align with business objectives
- Evaluate departmental plans and procedures and make appropriate changes
- Oversee and supervise employees, providing coaching and mentoring
- Train and develop employees to ensure succession planning is in place
Experience & skills
- Bachelor's Degree or Equivalent
- Minimum 6 years of job-related experience
- CIPD Level 3 or equivalent
- Certification in Training Design/Training Delivery/Train-the-Trainer/or similar
- Coaching qualification (ICF or equivalent)
- 2-3 years training management experience in the aviation industry
- Strong planning and organizing skills
- Excellent training design and delivery skills
- Professional customer service and public relations skills
- Strong mentoring and coaching skills
- Ability to liaise and coordinate effectively with stakeholders
- Excellent command of English language
- Managerial skills including delegation, workflow management, and fostering teamwork
