Job description
The Senior Training Officer is responsible for supporting the HR Department within Training and Development by managing Training and Saudization activities for Saipem operations in Saudi Arabia. The role involves identifying training needs through job analysis, performance reviews, and consultation with managers while ensuring alignment with organizational objectives. The Senior Training Officer coordinates and schedules internal and external training sessions, evaluates training effectiveness through feedback and performance metrics, and manages training budgets and training records. The role requires collaboration with department heads to align training initiatives with business goals and workforce development strategies. The position involves utilizing tools such as Excel and Power BI to track training performance, generate reports, and support decision-making. The Senior Training Officer supports Saudization initiatives, workforce development, and competency enhancement programs while maintaining compliance with organizational standards. The role also requires bilingual communication in English and Arabic, coordination of training logistics, and occasional travel within Saudi Arabia. The position supports continuous learning initiatives, training effectiveness evaluation, workforce capability development, and HR training administration within the energy and infrastructure project environment.

Key responsibilities
- Identify training needs through job analysis, performance reviews, and consultation with managers to support Training and Saudization activities and workforce capability development
- Coordinate and schedule internal and external training sessions including logistics planning, participant coordination, and training delivery alignment with organizational goals
- Evaluate the effectiveness of training programs using feedback, performance metrics, and data analysis to measure training outcomes and improve learning initiatives
- Manage training budgets, track expenditures, and maintain training records while ensuring compliance with HR policies and reporting requirements
- Collaborate with department heads and stakeholders to align training programs with organizational goals, workforce development, and Saudization initiatives
- Utilize Excel and Power BI to monitor training performance, generate reports, analyze training data, and support decision-making
- Support Training and Development initiatives within HR department including competency development, learning programs, and workforce capability improvement
- Coordinate travel and logistics for training programs and support training delivery across locations within Saudi Arabia
Experience & skills
- Hold a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Business Administration or equivalent discipline
- Possess 2-4 years of experience in Training and Development within HR or related functions
- Demonstrate experience in training needs analysis, training coordination, and training evaluation
- Possess technical knowledge of Excel and Power BI for reporting and data analysis
- Demonstrate proficiency in English and Arabic languages for communication and documentation
- Demonstrate experience managing training budgets and maintaining training records
- Possess ability to support Saudization initiatives and workforce development programs
- Be willing to travel within Saudi Arabia to support training activities and organizational requirements
