The Executive Legal Counsel at Boeing in Riyadh is a senior leadership role responsible for providing comprehensive legal guidance and support across all business units in Saudi Arabia, including Defense, Space and Security, Commercial Airplanes, and Global Services. The counsel serves as the primary legal advisor to Boeingâs local business leaders and works closely with the Regional Counsel in Dubai, the Boeing President for Saudi Arabia, and the Global Law Affairs (GLA) group. This role includes managing legal staff, coordinating with regional paralegals, and overseeing budgets for external counsel services. The position requires providing strategic advice on corporate governance, regulatory compliance, labor and employment law, contracts, procurement, leasing, and local business structures, including joint ventures and M&A activities. The counsel ensures alignment of Boeingâs policies with Saudi legal requirements, implements compliance programs, and evaluates local practices against U.S. and international standards. Responsibilities also include coordinating complex investigations and litigation in collaboration with U.S.-based counsel, interfacing with governmental authorities, and advising on immigration and visa compliance for local and international employees. The counsel plays a critical role in advising on regulatory issues, supporting industrial participation and localization projects, and maintaining Boeingâs competitive and legal position in the region. The role demands fluency in English and Arabic, extensive experience with international and local law, the ability to work across multiple time zones, and strong entrepreneurial and problem-solving skills to navigate commercially complex legal matters in a dynamic global environment. This position represents Boeing at the highest legal and operational levels within Saudi Arabia, ensuring that all business activities comply with local law while supporting strategic growth and operational excellence in alignment with the companyâs global objectives.

Key responsibilities
- Provide advice and counsel to Boeing business leaders in Saudi Arabia across Defense, Space and Security, Commercial Airplanes, and Global Services businesses
- Serve on the Boeing Saudi Arabia Leadership team, managing legal support staff and regional paralegals and overseeing external counsel budgets
- Coordinate with Boeing M&A attorneys on joint ventures and acquisitions, providing local law advice on business structures
- Implement and manage compliance with all applicable company policies in Saudi Arabia and align company policies with local law requirements
- Coordinate legal aspects of investigations and litigation with U.S.-based counsel and interface with governmental organizations
- Manage corporate governance and registration requirements for Boeing subsidiaries and branch offices in Saudi Arabia
- Handle labor and employment matters, including disputes, compliance for local and foreign hires, immigration, visas, terminations, and temporary international assignments
- Advise on contracts, procurement, non-production procurement, and real estate matters, coordinating with U.S.-based counsel
- Advise on regulatory matters, coordinating with U.S.-based counsel and Boeing finance organization
Experience & skills
- J.D. or equivalent from a reputable academic institution
- Bar qualification from one or more reputable common law jurisdictions preferred
- Minimum 10 years of professional legal experience with at least 5 years in Saudi Arabia
- Fluent in English and Arabic, both oral and written
- Experience in-house and/or in major international law firms
- Strong entrepreneurial skills for creative solutions to complex legal and commercial problems
- Ability to work effectively with colleagues and clients across multiple time zones
- Currently based in Saudi Arabia preferred
