Job description
The Engineer – Systems at DP World is responsible for managing engineering software applications and providing comprehensive technical support to engineering personnel. This includes overseeing software installations, upgrades, and configurations, as well as implementing backup and recovery procedures and maintaining system security in collaboration with IT security teams. The role involves managing engineering asset data in Maximo, processing purchase orders, and coordinating monthly billing with planning supervisors and centralized billing teams. The incumbent will analyze labor rates, reconcile cost data, and manage KPI reporting through the Spider system. The position requires the development and maintenance of interactive dashboards using Power BI, Tableau, Grafana, or custom solutions to visualize engineering metrics and system health. The engineer will coordinate database communications, job plans, and preventive maintenance task reviews, ensuring all engineering system workflows are optimized and up-to-date. The role includes training team members, supporting quality audits, integrating systems with IT and vendor tools, and ensuring effective communication with stakeholders to support strategic planning and departmental objectives.

- Manage engineering software applications and provide technical support to engineering teams

- Review Preventive Maintenance tasks and follow up on pending or overdue items
- Conduct training sessions for end-users on systems and dashboard tools
- Support quality audits and ensure documentation is audit-ready
- Ensure integration of systems and support between engineering, IT, and vendors
- Communicate technical concepts clearly to various stakeholders
- Participate in strategic planning and systems project development
Experience & skills
- Experience with engineering software applications and systems support
- Knowledge of backup and recovery protocols and IT security best practices
- Proficiency in Maximo, Power BI, Tableau, Grafana, or custom dashboard tools
- Experience with asset management, job planning, and preventive maintenance tracking
- Familiarity with monthly billing cycles and cost reconciliation
- Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills
