Job description
The Rental Logistics Supervisor role within Hertz UAE, part of Al-Futtaim Private Company LLC, is responsible for managing and supervising rental operations, yard activities, and vehicle disposal processes across Abu Dhabi and Dubai. The role focuses on optimizing fleet utilization, ensuring operational efficiency, cost control, and maintaining high customer satisfaction standards while exemplifying Hertzâs brand image and business practices. Responsibilities include mentoring coordinators and car washers, managing daily fleet logistics, generating comprehensive operational and fleet reports, overseeing yard management and inventory checks, coordinating vehicle disposals, and supporting strategic fleet planning and forecasting. The position also covers performance management through regular reviews and development plans, indirect manpower cost control including overtime validation and recruitment coordination, and structured handling of customer complaints in line with company and HR policies. The role requires strong operational reporting skills, proficiency in MS Officeâparticularly Excelâexperience in rent-a-car or logistics environments, and the ability to manage fleet availability, staffing, and customer service delivery to support growth and profitability.

Key responsibilities
- Supervise and mentor coordinators and car washers to ensure quality customer service standards
- Ensure staff understand departmental expectations and targets
- Generate overall fleet status reports for Dubai and Abu Dhabi
- Prepare CARPRO fleet inventory reports to track availability
- Compile daily car wash reports, productivity reports, and fuel reconciliation reports
- Maintain remarketing sale exchange reports, daily inventory reports, and disposal trackers
- Execute fleet planning, forecasting, and mobilization to meet business requirements
- Provide proactive recommendations on fleet status for promotions, rate changes, and off-sell decisions
- Ensure adequate staffing through shift roster planning and daily yard management
- Oversee inventory checks and yard operations
- Facilitate vehicle disposals and coordinate logistics for vehicle movements to sales
- Conduct performance reviews and establish development plans for team members
- Plan and control indirect manpower costs including overtime management
- Validate monthly timesheets and overtime prior to payroll approval
- Coordinate recruitment activities to minimize downtime and ensure manpower availability
- Handle customer queries and complaints in accordance with company policies
- Escalate customer issues as required and implement corrective actions
- Manage employee-related complaints in line with HR policies and escalate to HRBP when necessary
Experience & skills
- Bachelorâs degree
- 3â5 years of experience in rent-a-car or logistics industry
- Valid UAE driving license
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel
- Experience in operations management and strategic resource planning
- Strong English oral and written communication skills
- Experience in fleet operations, logistics supervision, and customer service management
