Job description
Amazon’s Compliance and Safety team for the Middle East, Africa, and Türkiye is seeking a Senior Risk Manager to lead compliance and product safety initiatives across the region. This role ensures protection of customers from unsafe, illegal, or non-compliant products, while driving scalable solutions through risk policies, controls, and cross-functional collaboration. The Risk Manager will own program metrics, lead risk initiatives, streamline compliance processes, and deliver continuous improvement in safety and customer trust.

Key responsibilities
- Build and maintain strong relationships with internal stakeholders globally including Legal, Product Safety Policy, Operations, and Category Management.
- Partner with cross-functional teams to define project requirements, establish timelines, manage dependencies, and ensure successful execution.
- Own and drive initiatives to improve Selling Partner experience by reducing friction, streamlining processes, and enhancing communication.
- Identify, design, and implement process improvements leveraging automation and data analytics to eliminate manual processes and create scalable solutions.
- Define key performance indicators (KPIs) and success metrics, develop reporting mechanisms, and regularly communicate progress, risks, and mitigation plans.
- Deep dive into product safety and compliance requirements, both external regulatory and internal Amazon policies, to make data-driven compliance solutions.
- Develop and improve mechanisms for continuous improvement on product safety, compliance, and customer trust.
Experience & skills
- 6+ years of compliance, audit, or risk management experience.
- Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office products and applications.
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent.
- Project Management Professional (PMP) or equivalent certification (preferred).
- Experience with technology solutions and implementing lean principles or Six Sigma methodologies (preferred).
- Master’s degree or equivalent (preferred).
