The Senior Manager, Key Account role at Tamara is a strategic account management position based in Dubai, United Arab Emirates, focused on nurturing, managing, and expanding relationships with large and strategically important merchant partners within Tamara’s fintech ecosystem. Tamara is the leading fintech platform in Saudi Arabia and the wider GCC region, serving millions of users across KSA and the UAE and partnering with major global and regional brands as well as small and medium-sized businesses. The role is positioned at the forefront of partner engagement, with primary responsibility for ensuring partner success, satisfaction, and long-term value creation through proactive and strategic account management. The incumbent collaborates closely with internal partner teams and cross-functional stakeholders across marketing, product, operations, analytics, and other functions to drive mutual growth. Responsibilities include guiding merchants through onboarding, teaching and enabling partners on Tamara’s products and features, developing structured growth plans to expand merchant performance and partnership value, and managing day-to-day merchant interactions. The role requires close monitoring of merchant satisfaction, execution of retention initiatives, and use of data analytics to assess merchant performance, answer partner inquiries, and share insights. The position also involves developing success stories, collecting and relaying merchant feedback to internal teams, enhancing partner success processes, and ensuring a smooth end-to-end merchant experience by coordinating across Tamara. The Senior Manager, Key Account plays a direct role in supporting Tamara’s ambition to become the region’s preferred way to pay and contributes meaningfully to the company’s growth as it expands its core business and product offerings.

Key responsibilities
- Guide and assist merchants through the onboarding and activation process by working closely with partners and internal teams.
- Teach and onboard new merchants on Tamara’s products, services, and features to ensure effective adoption.
- Create and execute growth plans to help merchants grow their businesses, increase satisfaction, and expand partnerships.
- Build, manage, and maintain strong relationships with key partners through regular meetings and continuous communication.
- Manage day-to-day interactions with merchants and conduct regular business review meetings.
- Monitor merchant satisfaction levels and implement retention initiatives to maintain long-term partnerships.
- Analyze merchant performance using data and analytics, address partner questions or concerns, and share performance insights with merchants.
- Develop merchant success stories and share actionable insights internally and externally.
- Collect merchant feedback and communicate insights to relevant internal teams for product and process improvement.
- Collaborate with analytics teams to generate insights that benefit merchant partners.
- Develop and implement structured plans to grow and optimize merchant accounts.
- Master Tamara’s products, services, and partner networks to meet merchant needs effectively.
- Ensure a seamless merchant experience by coordinating with cross-functional teams across marketing, product, operations, and other functions.
- Enhance internal processes related to partner success and account management.
- Contribute directly to Tamara’s growth as the company expands its core business and product offerings.
Experience & skills
- Possess 3–5 years of professional experience, with internships at start-ups or prior experience in sales, account management, consulting, or customer-facing roles considered a plus.
- Demonstrate strong customer orientation with the ability to build and maintain high-quality merchant relationships.
- Exhibit strategic thinking capabilities supported by strong project management skills.
- Demonstrate excellent analytics skills for evaluating merchant performance and business outcomes.
- Possess exceptional written and spoken English communication skills.
- Be adaptable to changing requirements and capable of managing multiple activities in parallel.
- Be self-motivated, driven, and committed to achieving ambitious goals.
