Job description
The Senior Relationship Manager - Elite Business Banking Liabilities at RAKBANK is a high-impact relationship management role responsible for driving portfolio growth and client satisfaction among Elite Business Banking and High-Net-Worth Individual (HNWI) clients. Reporting to the Senior Vice President, Head of Elite - Business Banking Liabilities, the position focuses on client acquisition, retention, and revenue growth through tailored financial and investment solutions. The role requires the ability to onboard new clients in compliance with regulatory and internal standards, deepen existing client relationships, and identify opportunities for cross-selling across the bankās full suite of financial products. The Senior Relationship Manager will act as a trusted advisor, ensuring each client receives a seamless, personalized banking experience. Responsibilities include portfolio management, risk assessment, and coordination with service and back-office teams to ensure high-quality service delivery. The ideal candidate will possess strong financial acumen, an in-depth understanding of banking regulations, and the ability to interpret financial data and market trends to identify growth opportunities. This role is based in the UAE and requires hands-on experience in managing affluent business and individual clients within the banking or financial services sector.

- Identify and onboard new Elite Business Banking and HNWI clients to build a robust and profitable portfolio.
- Ensure onboarding processes comply with all regulatory, compliance, and KYC requirements.
- Manage and deepen client relationships by understanding individual financial goals and preferences.
- Deliver tailored banking and investment solutions to enhance client portfolio value and satisfaction.
- Develop and implement client retention strategies to maintain long-term engagement with high-value clients.
- Achieve or exceed defined sales and service targets through effective portfolio management and relationship development.
- Drive revenue growth by focusing on low-cost transactional deposits and other non-interest income streams.
- Promote cross-selling of the bankās full suite of financial products and services to maximize wallet share.
- Ensure all client interactions and transactions adhere to internal policies and regulatory standards.
- Proactively identify, assess, and mitigate risks associated with client portfolios and banking operations.
- Coordinate with internal departments, service teams, and back-office functions to resolve client queries promptly.
- Handle SAS and Correspondent Bank queries within defined turnaround times and quality parameters.
- Collect and analyze market intelligence to support product development and strategic decision-making.
- Continuously seek and implement improvements in client servicing and operational efficiency.
Experience & skills
- Hold a Bachelorās Degree or equivalent qualification; MBA preferred.
- Possess a minimum of 5 years of experience in Branch Banking, Operations, Relationship Management, or Customer Service, ideally serving HNWI and elite business clients.
- Demonstrate strong knowledge of banking regulations, compliance procedures, and risk management frameworks.
- Exhibit the ability to interpret financial statements, market trends, and economic data to support business decisions.
- Show proven success in achieving and exceeding sales, service, and portfolio growth targets.
- Be highly proficient in cross-selling banking products and maintaining client profitability.
- Demonstrate strong communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills for engaging affluent clients.
- Experience handling SAS and Correspondent Banking processes is advantageous.
- Have exposure to financial services sales and customer relationship strategies within the UAE market.
- Display a proactive approach to client satisfaction, operational excellence, and regulatory adherence.
