Job description
The Senior Manager Hook Up & Commissioning leads the HUC phase of EPCI projects, overseeing multiple teams and ensuring adherence to schedules, budgets, and quality standards. The role requires multi-disciplinary expertise to manage technical, operational, and organizational challenges. The Senior Manager develops strategies, plans, and policies to deliver successful project outcomes while ensuring compliance with McDermottâs policies, industry codes, and safety standards.

Key responsibilities
- Lead all Hook Up & Commissioning (HUC) activities, ensuring alignment with project milestones and objectives.
- Develop departmental plans including business, production, and organizational priorities for HUC teams.
- Ensure projects meet schedule, budget, and quality requirements with continuous improvement initiatives.
- Coordinate interdisciplinary teams including engineering, procurement, construction, and operations.
- Provide technical guidance and approve HUC procedures, methodologies, and work plans.
- Manage stakeholder engagement with clients, contractors, and vendors to resolve technical challenges.
- Supervise and mentor multidisciplinary HUC teams, conduct performance evaluations, and identify skill gaps.
- Implement, enforce, and verify compliance with company policies, safety, and quality standards.
- Utilize project management tools to plan, monitor, and report on HUC progress.
Experience & skills
- Bachelorâs degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or related Engineering field.
- Minimum 10 yearsâ experience in Hook Up & Commissioning within the EPCI industry, including 5+ years in leadership roles.
- Proven track record of successfully delivering HUC projects to completion.
- In-depth knowledge of HUC methodologies, industry standards, codes, and regulations.
- Strong project management skills with focus on scheduling, cost control, and risk mitigation.
- Excellent leadership, communication, interpersonal, and conflict resolution skills.
- Proficiency with relevant software tools for planning, scheduling, and reporting.
