EY is seeking a Senior External Auditor for its Bahrain office to support the Audit team in delivering high-quality financial statement audits and providing insights on accounting and financial reporting matters. The position involves contributing technically to audit engagements, performing risk assessments, identifying potential business opportunities, and ensuring that client deliverables meet professional and firm standards. The Senior Auditor will work with a diverse team, helping clients across various industries comply with IFRS and other relevant regulatory frameworks. The role includes exposure to both banking and non-banking audits, particularly group audits and consolidation work, and requires a deep understanding of IFRS standards including IFRS 7, 9, 10, 13, 15, and 16. Candidates should demonstrate a strong academic background, possess professional qualifications such as ACCA, CPA, or CA, and bring at least four years of experience in external auditing within a professional services firm. Responsibilities include supporting audit planning and execution, maintaining client relationships, ensuring audit documentation quality, and reviewing deliverables prior to submission. The ideal candidate will also identify risks, contribute to internal projects, and help drive EY’s purpose of building a better working world. Proficiency in Arabic is advantageous.
