Job description
Plan and control all day-to-day operations for blending and bulk filling, ensuring safe, timely, and cost-effective delivery of products while adhering to HSSEQ guidelines. Oversee blend plan execution, raw material coordination, SAP entry, quality control, and loss management. Support operational excellence, process optimization, and regulatory compliance. Act as the plant lead during night shifts and contribute to ongoing improvement projects including digitalization and lean initiatives.

Key responsibilities
- Plan and control all day-to-day operations for the Blending & Bulk filling activity, Permit to Work system, records update, shifts and resource planning.
- Organize and direct the blending and bulk filling teams to ensure safety, product availability, and quality while minimizing costs.
- Prepare daily Blend Plan to ensure on-time availability of product.
- Coordinate bulk raw material receipts and monitor stock control.
- Monitor work area for process optimization and recommend improvements.
- Ensure adherence to productivities and quality indicators per HSSEQ and Energy Management guidelines.
- Support Pack filling operations and communicate product availability.
- Enter production orders and loss management data into SAP.
- Act as Production Engineer (Pack Filling) in their absence.
- Investigate blending batch and filling failures; maintain CAPA.
- Oversee ship discharge operations per procedure and HSSEQ.
- Manage stock control, inventory control, and mass balance.
- Follow up corrective action plans from audit recommendations.
- Monitor and control loss/gain targets for blending and filling.
- React to business changes, customer needs, and material issues.
- Act as plant lead during night shift operations.
- Conduct team meetings and shift handovers.
- Stop production/dispatch in case of non-conformity.
- Train staff on HSSEQ and ensure procedure compliance.
- Participate in emergency response and preparedness programs.
- Comply with regulatory, compliance, and audit procedures.
- Operate MES system Lubcel for blending and filling processes.
- Manage bulk product loading and additive planning.
- Execute production per issued plans with quality and timeliness.
- Participate in commissioning of new equipment with project team.
- Maintain housekeeping and cleanliness in work area.
- Motivate internal and external teams for optimal output.
- Update bulk receipt records in SAP with stock team.
- Ensure inventory control and mass balance as per limits.
- Conduct monthly and periodic raw material stock counts.
- Plan and report inventory variances and corrective actions.
- Promote and implement 5S, visual management, and Kaizen.
- Support digitalization and process improvement projects.
Experience & skills
- Bachelor of Engineering in any discipline.
- Minimum 6 years experience in operations; 3ā5 years in similar role in automated blending plant.
- Experience handling lubricants in a multinational environment.
- Good knowledge of lubricants blending processes and safety.
- Working knowledge of HSSEQ and Energy management systems.
- Knowledge of Lean management (5S, Kaizen).
- Basic knowledge of SAP ERP system.
- Proficient in MS Office.
- Hands-on experience with ISO 9001, ISO 14001, and ISO 50001.
- Above average English language proficiency.
- Strong team management and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to perform under compliance and audit requirements.
