Job description
The Senior Technical Account Manager (TAM) for Eastern Province at Veeam is responsible for providing proactive post-sales support, consulting, and management during implementations and ongoing customer engagements. The TAM serves as a trusted advisor to clients, ensuring the optimal use and architecture of Veeam Software solutions. Responsibilities include planning, designing, coordinating, and managing data resilience solutions, with expertise in Data Management, Data Analytics, Business Continuity, Data Center, Cloud, Operating Systems, Networking, Storage, and Virtualization. The role requires hands-on experience with Veeam Core products, enterprise applications, virtualization platforms, networking equipment, and disruptive storage technologies. The TAM will guide solution implementation, deliver knowledge transfer, document configurations, facilitate communication with Veeam support, and identify additional client needs. This position demands extensive experience in project management, consulting, and multiple simultaneous account management, with knowledge of cloud technologies, security concepts, and Kubernetes platforms.
Required skills
Key responsibilities
- Support delivery and consulting services to meet Veeam Software solution design and deliverables
- Provide overall project guidance including project plans, schedules, communication plans, resource plans, and status updates
- Assist with assessment, design of solutions, and post-installation issues
- Estimate effort required for Veeam Software solution implementation
- Create white papers, solution guides, best practices, and custom documentation
- Deliver onsite knowledge transfer on Veeam Software solutions
- Document configuration and completed activities
- Analyze installed environments and guide optimal Veeam Software configurations
- Facilitate communication between client and Veeam support
- Identify additional client needs that can be resolved with Veeam Software solutions
- Provide input for improvement of process and documentation
- Travel as required, including overnight business stays, to meet company goals and objectives
Experience & skills
- Minimum 5 years of experience in the IT industry
- Hands-on experience with Veeam Core products
- Proven consulting and project management experience
- Technical certifications: VMware VCP, Microsoft MCSE or equivalent
- Project management certifications: Prince2, ITIL, PMP, or equivalent
- Bachelor's Degree in Technology or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Significant experience and understanding of virtualization technologies such as VMware and Hyper-V
- Hands-on experience with traditional and disruptive storage systems (Nimble, Nexsan, Actifio, EMC, NetApp, IBM, HP/3PAR, Hitachi, Dell)
- Experience with networking protocols and equipment including Fiber Channel, Ethernet, and cloud services
- Hands-on experience with enterprise applications such as Exchange, SQL, Oracle
- Experience with Data Management, Data Protection, Data Analytics, and Business Continuity
- Familiarity with Kubernetes platforms
- Extensive knowledge of data center operations, operating systems, and security technologies
- Experience successfully managing multiple simultaneous projects and client accounts
- Working knowledge of cloud technologies, capabilities, and protocols
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, relationship-building, and presentation skills
