Job description
Mace is providing strategic project management consultancy for major new-build stadiums, multiple stadium redevelopments, and wider precinct transformations in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, including delivery of new stadiums, increasing existing stadia capacity, development of mixed-use amenities, and implementation of knowledge-transfer initiatives to ensure operational excellence and long-term sustainability beyond construction. The Lead Landscape Architect will provide expert input during design reviews, value engineering sessions, and constructability assessments for stadium-specific landscape elements while developing innovative outdoor spatial concepts aligned with client goals, budget constraints, and visual aspirations. The role includes integrating landscape planning with operational needs including crowd flow management, security requirements, universal accessibility, ADA compliance, and event-day functionality. The position requires leading comprehensive design management including schedules, interdisciplinary coordination, and budget control across all project phases. The Lead Landscape Architect will supervise design execution including specifying materials, vegetation, and structural components while ensuring adherence to safety regulations and construction standards. Responsibilities also include aligning landscape documentation with EPMO governance, reporting structures, and stakeholder engagement protocols while maintaining proactive client engagement, facilitating communication, gathering feedback, and resolving design challenges. The role involves collaboration with architects, engineers, and contractors to ensure cohesive integration between landscape and architectural systems and validating final deliverables through rigorous quality assurance across stadium, sports, and large-scale public venue projects.
