Job description
The Key Account Manager role at Careem focuses on managing and growing strategic restaurant partnerships within the Dubai market for a leading multi-service digital platform operating across mobility, food delivery, groceries, payments, and on-demand services. The role is responsible for full ownership of assigned restaurant accounts, serving as the primary point of contact for high-value partners and ensuring strong engagement, satisfaction, and commercial performance. The position drives order growth, revenue optimization, and partner success through data-driven insights, operational performance analysis, and tailored marketing and promotional strategies. It requires close collaboration with cross-functional internal teams including Supply, Finance, Marketing, and Business Development to ensure seamless execution of growth initiatives and alignment with platform objectives. The role involves analyzing complex datasets to identify performance gaps, improve operational efficiency, and enhance both merchant and end-user experience. Key responsibilities include developing and executing strategic account growth plans, implementing promotional campaigns, managing commercial negotiations, and improving retention and partner satisfaction. The Key Account Manager plays a critical role in translating business insights into actionable strategies that increase revenue and improve profitability for both Careem and its partners. The role operates in a fast-paced, high-growth environment requiring strong analytical thinking, stakeholder management, and commercial acumen to support strategic decision-making and long-term partnership success within the food tech ecosystem.

Key responsibilities
- Manage end-to-end ownership of assigned restaurant partner accounts as the primary point of contact and relationship owner
- Develop and execute strategic growth plans to increase partner revenue through promotions, advertising, and performance optimization initiatives
- Analyze partner performance data to identify opportunities for operational improvement, revenue growth, and customer experience enhancement
- Collaborate with internal teams including Supply, Finance, Marketing, and Business Development to align and execute growth strategies
- Negotiate commercial agreements and partnership terms to maximize mutual value and long-term collaboration success
- Monitor and improve partner satisfaction and retention by addressing operational challenges and resolving performance issues
- Leverage data-driven insights to optimize merchant operations, improve order volume, and enhance platform engagement
- Implement marketing campaigns and promotional initiatives tailored to partner needs and business objectives
- Ensure consistent communication and strong stakeholder management with senior restaurant executives and internal leadership teams
Experience & skills
- Demonstrate 3–4+ years of experience in account management, sales, or partnerships within food tech, food delivery, or FMCG sectors
- Apply strong analytical and problem-solving skills to interpret complex data and drive business decisions
- Manage senior-level stakeholder relationships and deliver measurable commercial outcomes in fast-paced environments
- Communicate effectively with strong interpersonal skills and a client-first approach to relationship management
- Operate independently in high-growth, dynamic environments with strong ownership and accountability
- Hold a Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field or equivalent qualification
- Collaborate effectively across cross-functional teams including marketing, finance, supply, and business development
