Job description
Month-end brings the MIS pack, Budget vs. Actual analysis and the consolidation of financial statements across entities and business units, all owned and reviewed by this Manager in Dubai. Between those cycles, business cases, strategic proposals and CAPEX requests come in for evaluation using ROI, payback period, NPV, IRR, scenario and sensitivity analysis. Variance and profitability analysis digs into the operational drivers behind the numbers, and the resulting recommendations go straight to management. Annual budgeting, forecasting and reforecasting are coordinated here, including challenging the assumptions business units submit. Financial models, long-term business plans and management presentations support strategic and investment decisions. Process improvement runs alongside, with standardisation and automation opportunities across planning and reporting. The profile calls for a Chartered Accountant who qualified on the first attempt, with 7 to 9 years of experience and strong exposure to Finance Transformation, SAP ERP implementation or upgrade, digitalisation, audit governance and PMO work.
