Job description
The Regional Concept Business Head β Home Centre Retail in Dammam, Saudi Arabia, is responsible for planning, executing, and overseeing all retail operations across the territory. The role includes implementing professional retail standards for Home Centre stores to maximize sales, profitability, and customer satisfaction while ensuring optimum inventory utilization. Responsibilities encompass preparing sales budgets, maximizing sales per square foot, ATV, and conversion rates, controlling costs within budget, and identifying internal and external commercial opportunities. The role requires formulating and implementing retail strategies and procedures, ensuring compliance with company policies, state laws, and health and safety standards, and maintaining consistent store presentation and dress codes. The position involves effective inventory and warehouse management, including order management, stock consolidation, movement, transfers, and addressing overstock or understock issues. It also includes pricing merchandise according to norms, providing monthly sales and stock feedback, and managing fast/slow-moving lines. Strategic responsibilities include concept expansion, project rollouts, and property scouting while understanding territory demographics and consumer behaviour. The role entails leading people management initiatives, including recruitment, Saudization, feminization, induction, grievance handling, staff motivation, learning & development, skill development, setting KRAs, performance appraisal, and career planning for retail staff, ensuring alignment with company objectives and enhancing operational efficiency and commercial performance.

Key responsibilities
- Prepare and participate in the preparation of sales budgets and financial forecasts
- Maximize sales and profitability through effective retail strategies and operational oversight
- Optimize productivity targets including sales per sqft, ATV, and conversion metrics
- Formulate and implement retail strategies and procedures in coordination with NCBH/Regional Head
- Control operational and commercial costs within budgetary guidelines
- Identify internal and external commercial opportunities for growth and expansion
- Ensure effective stock and space management and compliance with inventory standards
- Conduct SWOT analyses to understand customer profiles and provide monthly competitor feedback
- Prepare and implement regional operating plans for new stores, seasonal operations, and ongoing store management
- Ensure all stores comply with operating, customer service, employment, health, and safety standards
- Oversee inventory management including order management, stock consolidation, movement, transfers, stock returns, and shrinkage control
- Review and analyze stock and sales reports, implement corrective actions for overstock/understock, fast/slow lines, and new or end-of-range merchandise
- Ensure merchandise pricing aligns with company norms and matrix format
- Strategize and pursue opportunities for concept expansion and manage rollout of new projects within timelines
- Scout and research suitable properties and locations based on territory dynamics
- Manage team recruitment, Saudization, and feminization initiatives, ensuring proper induction and training
- Support grievance handling and disciplinary actions, monitor skill development, and appraise retail staff performance
- Set KRAs for direct reports, conduct performance appraisals, oversee staff deployment, and drive motivation levels
Experience & skills
- Minimum 12 yearsβ experience in retail, with 3-5 years in Home & Furniture
- Experience managing large format retail or hypermarket stores
- Strong business acumen with strategic planning capabilities
- Proven negotiation and relationship management skills
- Influencing and leadership skills for managing cross-functional teams
- Preferably experience with leading home retailers in India or Saudi Arabia
