Job description
The Trade Finance Senior Executive role is an on-site position based in Dubai, United Arab Emirates, within the manufacturing industry. The role focuses on end-to-end management of trade finance operations, including trade finance products, export and import letters of credit, cash against documents, working capital facilities, and bank liabilities. The position involves close coordination with banks, sales, procurement, and internal departments to ensure timely settlement of liabilities, optimal cash flow management, and compliance with credit conditions. Responsibilities include monitoring bank liabilities, managing receivables and payables, handling export LC and import LC processes, reviewing LC drafts and amendments, coordinating shipments within LC terms, managing open account payments, trust receipt payments, and ensuring accurate SAP entries and daily reporting. The role also includes assisting with working capital facility renewals, addressing bank queries, allocating receivables and LCs to banks, and overseeing team membersā day-to-day trade finance activities. The position requires strong experience in trade finance services within the manufacturing sector, proficiency with banking systems, SAP, Microsoft Office, and familiarity with EXIM and CDCS frameworks, along with UAE market experience.

Key responsibilities
- Monitor and ensure all bank liabilities are addressed and settled on their respective due dates
- Provide inputs to department heads and management for clearance of liabilities and alert stakeholders in case of shortfalls
- Liaise with sales coordinating teams to receive expected cash inflows through advances and planned deliveries
- Share liability and receivable reports with department heads to support cash flow management discussions
- Inform sales teams of export LC requirements with each bank and allocate export LCs to respective banks to meet credit conditions and open import transactions
- Review LC drafts and applications based on sales orders and inform sales teams of required amendments
- Coordinate with sales teams to ensure shipments are planned within the latest shipment date specified in the LC and arrange extensions when LDS is expired
- Assist department heads in renewal of working capital facilities by coordinating with banks and sharing required documents and reports
- Ensure timely receipt of export LC document proceeds from banks and CAD document proceeds from customers by liaising with banks and sales teams
- Coordinate with procurement teams on import requirements and arrange transactions with respective banks based on available limits
- Monitor open account payments to suppliers and arrange cash, LC, or TR payments based on cash availability and bank limits
- Address bank queries related to accounts and working capital facilities and arrange necessary documentation
- Assign export LCs and receivables to banks in line with credit conditions and ensure limit positions align with bank records
- Share bank transaction and advice copies with relevant team members for posting entries in SAP and daily report files
- Monitor daily activities of team members, ensure processes are followed, and handle queries or escalations
- Address trade finance queries from internal and external stakeholders
- Ensure SAP entries and daily report entries are accurately updated and matched by team members
Experience & skills
- Have a minimum of 5 years of related experience in Trade Finance Services
- Possess mandatory UAE experience
- Hold a degree in EXIM, CDCS, Business, Economics, Finance/Accounting, International Relations, or a similar discipline
- Demonstrate experience in trade finance within the manufacturing industry, preferably
- Be proficient in bank-related business systems and general technology including Microsoft Office packages
- Demonstrate knowledge of trade finance products, export and import letters of credit, and working capital facilities
