Job description
Johnson & Johnson’s Abiomed division is seeking a Therapy and Business Development Consultant in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. This role focuses on driving adoption and clinical outcomes of the Impella® product portfolio by training physicians and hospital staff, supporting patient care in Cath Labs, ICUs, and surgical suites, and expanding therapy penetration across key accounts. The consultant will lead therapy development initiatives, coordinate account training, and deliver hands-on patient support, while collaborating with partners and key opinion leaders to establish Impella and Heart Recovery as standards of care. The position requires extensive travel within the central KSA region and a readiness to provide on-site patient support.
Required skills
Key responsibilities
- Establish Impella and Heart Recovery as standard of care in KSA through training and relationship-building
- Train physicians and hospital staff on appropriate use of Impella to ensure excellent outcomes
- Drive patient growth and clinical performance across key centers in the central region
- Coordinate with partners to implement strategies and clinical activities
- Initiate and oversee Abiomed customer training programs to expand physician skills
- Support physicians and staff in Cath Labs, ORs, and ICUs during patient care
- Conduct After Action Reviews with MDs following each case
- Establish peer-to-peer networks for sharing best practices across the region
- Plan regular visits to active Impella centers to monitor performance and collect clinical data
Experience & skills
- Bachelor’s or advanced degree
- Minimum 2 years’ experience in medical devices, with strong cardiovascular background
- Experience in Cath Lab, ICU, or cardiac surgery settings preferred
- Proven success launching therapies and achieving growth
- Established network of Interventional Cardiologists and Cath Lab staff in Riyadh region is an advantage
- Ability to deliver clinical demonstrations and successful training programs
- Availability for emergent patient support required
- Ability to travel 80%+ within the region
- Fluent in English and Arabic
