Job description
The Well Site Supervisor I role within Halliburton in Al Khobar, Saudi Arabia is responsible for supervising and managing well services operations at the well site under general supervision. The position ensures execution of contractual operations in accordance with Halliburton (HAL) well services agreements and engineered well designs. The role involves understanding operational objectives of well services and taking necessary actions to achieve well construction and service delivery targets within agreed time and cost constraints. The Well Site Supervisor is responsible for coordinating the work of multiple product service lines and third-party subcontractors to ensure proper execution of well site activities. The role supervises daily field operations including rig move-in, rig up, rig down, and rig move-out activities, ensuring safe and efficient execution of well operations processes. The position holds accountability for health, safety, and environmental protection, ensuring the safety of employees, contractors, and the public, as well as preventing environmental damage resulting from operations. The supervisor plays a key role in HSE leadership by actively participating in audits, inspections, reviews, and incident investigations in alignment with HSE plans. The role also includes validation of corrective actions and management of audit findings and open items. The Well Site Supervisor functions as a matrix manager for HSE and logistics personnel on site and ensures coordination of field resources. The position requires preparation of a documented 7-day look-ahead plan covering equipment, materials, and personnel requirements for ongoing operations. The role ensures compliance with well control safety standards and requires certification in IADC or IWCF well control supervision. The position requires strong operational leadership in oilfield environments, ensuring safe, efficient, and compliant execution of well services operations.

- Supervise and manage day-to-day well services operations at the well site under general supervision
- Ensure execution of contractual well services operations in accordance with Halliburton operational requirements
- Coordinate work of product service lines and third-party subcontractors to meet engineered well design objectives
- Supervise rig move-in, rig up, rig down, and rig move-out operations at well site locations
- Ensure compliance with HSE standards and actively participate in audits, inspections, and safety reviews
- Lead incident and near-miss investigations and validate closure of corrective actions and audit items
- Manage field operations to achieve well services objectives within agreed time and cost constraints
- Prepare daily 7-day look-ahead plans covering equipment, materials, and personnel requirements
- Serve as matrix manager for HSE and logistics personnel on location and ensure operational coordination
Experience & skills
- Hold high school diploma as minimum educational qualification; undergraduate degree preferred
- Demonstrate minimum 5 years of rig site experience in oil and gas operations
- Demonstrate at least 3 years of operational management experience in field or well site environments
- Hold current IADC or IWCF supervisory well control certification
- Demonstrate experience in well site supervision and oilfield operations management
- Demonstrate experience coordinating subcontractors and service lines in well operations
- Demonstrate strong knowledge of HSE practices, audits, inspections, and incident investigations
- Demonstrate experience in rig move, rig up, and rig down operations
- Demonstrate ability to plan and manage field operations including logistics and resource scheduling
- Demonstrate leadership capability in high-risk oilfield operational environments
