Job description
The Digital Test Manager role at Cognizant in Abu Dhabi leads end-to-end QA delivery across Functional, Non-Functional, and UAT testing for mid-to-large scale digital transformation programs. The role covers QA management for critical Airline systems including PSS, Amadeus, Ticketing, DCS, Check-In, and GDS across Web and Mobile channels. Responsibilities include managing the full testing lifecycle—planning, execution, defect management, and reporting—while acting as a communication bridge between IT, business, and cross-functional teams. The manager guides and mentors testing teams to deliver high-quality software, utilizes ALM tools such as Azure DevOps and Jira for metrics and tracking, manages risks and issues proactively, implements and refines testing frameworks and processes, and collaborates with Agile release teams to ensure seamless releases. The position drives continuous improvement in QA methodologies, fosters a culture of quality and ownership, and ensures adherence to best practices across all testing activities within airline technology transformation initiatives.

- Manage QA activities for Airline systems including PSS, Reservations, Ticketing, DCS, Check-In, and GDS (Amadeus) for Web and Mobile channels.
- Guide, mentor, and manage testing teams to ensure high-quality and reliable software product delivery.
- Oversee full testing lifecycle including test planning, execution, defect management, and reporting to stakeholders.
- Act as primary communication bridge between IT, business, and cross-functional teams to align QA objectives.
- Utilize ALM tools such as Azure DevOps and Jira for test metrics, tracking, reporting, and proactive risk/issue management.
- Implement and optimize testing tools, frameworks, and processes to enhance QA efficiency and quality.
- Collaborate with Agile release teams to support releases and ensure compliance with best QA practices.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives across QA methodologies and testing processes.
- Foster a culture of quality, ownership, and excellence within the QA organization.
Experience & skills
- Prior experience managing QA for mid-to-large transformation programs.
- Strong domain experience with Airline systems including PSS, Amadeus, Ticketing, DCS, Check-In, and GDS.
- Proven leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
- Expertise in Web Application, Middleware, and Interface testing.
- Proficiency with ALM tools such as Azure DevOps and Jira for testing, tracking, and reporting.
- Ability to manage risks and issues proactively and implement continuous improvement in QA processes.
